Religion is a broken concept. Jesus taught us to accept.

Religion is so great why has it started wars. Jesus has only but opened the door.

Religion is based on conditions. Jesus is Love His base is fruition.

Religion is about winning the race. Jesus has proven He is Grace.

Religion is sacrilege. Jesus says, ‘build a bridge’.

Religion is only for the strong. Jesus points that this is wrong.

Religion is not for the sheep. Jesus Loves the meek and the weak.

Religion is a fake look. Jesus I Love I post Him on my Facebook.

Religion is blind. Jesus makes you see.

Religion is shackled. Jesus has set you free.

Religion is self-righteous bigoted men. Jesus does not love this not now not then.

Religion is in love with money. Jesus is sweeter than honey.

Religion is not caring any more. Jesus is in love with the poor.

Religion is sin scares away the beginners. Jesus hates sin but loves the damaged and the sinner.

His skin was ripped from its brace. Blood pouring from the crown of thrones dripping down His once radiant face. He was hung up to die by the filthy few. He was on that cross He cried out, ‘Forgive them Father they do not know what they do’ whilst thinking of you.

He is the Son of God. Religion a man made invention. Jesus is the cure. Religion is the infection. Religion has made that it’s man searching for God. Jesus reclaimed it as God searching for man. I feel no remorse in my writing for I now know who I am.

This is why I hate religion actually I resent it. When Jesus said, ‘It is FINISHED’. I firmly believe…He meant it.

Love

religion is the devils toy
he steals and kills and takes the joy
from all who trust in God's great word
the ministers of self are heard
who take our minds and dwell on bad
and take our time from God, so sad
But soon God will remove from us
the false pastors who filled with lust
twist Gods own word to make them just
excusing sin and build false trust
But just stay home ignore the world
in Jesus word and life are curled
in loving company we see
Our savior for eternity.

Religion is not the problem. Yes, man-made religion is but God-ordained religion is not. After all, Jesus himself was a very religious man. :)

Re = To
Ligion = Bind

Religion = To Bind.

John 8:36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,"

James 1:26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless.

If anyone THINKS himself to be religious....

Religion is fear-based. It says I have do something to be something. It is me focused not Christ focused. It is law focused not love focused... because what kind of love is there if you HAVE to love?

1 John 4:8 He who has no love has no knowledge of God, because God is love.

Just knowing God creates love. Not knowing religion. Knowing God. This is not problem focused, but promise focused. It is identity giving. It says if you know Him, you will love like Him.

Religion is works based. It tries to finish what was started in the Spirit...

Galatians 3:1 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?

Was Jesus religious?

Matthew 23:27“What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity. [SUP]28 [/SUP]Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Can you clean yourself?

Luke 18:26They who heard it said, "Then who can be saved?" 27But He said, "The things that are impossible with people are possible with God."

Matthew7:15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

Bad trees can't bear good fruit. Jesus changed the tree. Religion doesn't do this. Not one iota. It enslaves it doesn't free. It is worthless unless you have experienced the new creation reality that comes from abiding in the Vine.

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Religion is performance based. It causes people to go back to the tree of good/evil. And once again see their nakedness. And suddenly they have forgotten who they were...

1 Co 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

What we focus on we become like, this is why many have become religious and others have become free. They are mutually exclusive. Religion from the beginning was man's attempt to replace God.

Genesis 3:10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." 11And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"

Exodus 20:19Then they said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die."

1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.

Does religion impart life?

Galatians 3:21Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law. 25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Galatians 4:7Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Galatians 5:1 1It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:14For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."

Hebrews 10:14For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. 15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

16“This is the covenant I will make with them

after that time, says the Lord.

I will put my laws in their hearts,

and I will write them on their minds.”[SUP]b[/SUP]

1 Co 2:15The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

So then how SHOULD we be lead if not by the law/religion that tries to bind us to interpretations and traditions?

Romans 8:14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Bless you.

'...Oh, I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks
'Religion' is a light in the fog
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah

Choke me in the shallow water
Before I get too DEEP...'

[SUP]27 [/SUP]Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress
and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.'

(James 1:27 / NIV)

That's how simple it is...

The first line 'Jesus taught us to accept' is in reference to James 1:27 this verse, was my inspiration to pen the beginning of the poem.
