THE JOURNEY

Don't believe the lies
Though they seem so real
Don't ever compromise
And let the enemy steal

You have come so far
It's so hard to believe
When you look back
Was that even me?

Press forward my friend
Stay on the right path
We've got tough times ahead
Your on the right track

As time grows short
Do not be afraid
With Jesus by your side
Who can stand in your way!

So study the word
Put on your armor each day
Memorizing another verse
Just sharpens the blade

Pray to him in all things
And give thanks to the Lord
Growing closer to our King
Who gave his life for yours.

The world is growing dark
Let your light shine bright
Never losing your spark
For he will come like a thief in the night

So keep your lamps full
And your eyes on him
Not the cares of this world
Small just leads to bigger sin

Though we stumble
We are covered by grace
The holy spirit leads us
To walk in his ways

Jesus was also tempted
He never gave in
To be our example
And pay for our sins

Its time my friend to stand for him,
The ultimate love is to die for a friend!
