Hi everyone! Occasionally I will get these creative fires burning and find a need to express myself. So I'll dance, then sing, then play the guitar and the piano, then go dance with the horses, and if it is still there, sometimes I write a new song. But today, this happened. I hope you enjoy it! I'm not really a poet, I just write in expressive style. I don't like rules to conform a sentence
The Fire Fulfilled
I have a need inside of me.
It rages like a fire, it consumes every fibre of my being.
I have a need inside of me.
It's indescribable and all consuming
it leaves me breathless in awe and wonder.
I have a need inside of me.
A need that will find me dancing till my legs fall off
singing at the top of my lungs
screaming, shouting,
and yet its never enough.
I watch dancers like me.
I listen to singers but many lack what is real.
I watch for those with this same fire
a need that seems never filled.
I watch for those who incite change and move others to tears
The movers, the changers,
those who flip your whole world upside down with a mere sentence or movement.
Then I think
What if those people had their need filled?
What if, like me they found their raging fire filled by the only one who can?
What then?
Oh what the world would be, and could be, and might be, and should be!
A whole world rejoicing at the sound of one name:
Jesus.
The name that sends my feet flying and my heart racing
my lungs pumping and my hands chasing
chasing after the ever fleeting moments of being in His full glorious presence.
The name that I see reflected in the eyes of my horse.
The name that connects our spirits as one.
The name that causes my fingers to move and my mind to write.
The name of the One:
Jesus-
The Fire Fulfilled.
