Massive rain, thunder and lightning tonight where I live. Flash flooding in the streets. Super exciting! We needed rain so badly. Our ground was THIRSTY!

Yeah, the big storm hit here (West TN) right around midnight. Weeeeee, it was fun! I like strong storms, there's something awesome about them.

Hmm, that picture is showing a Shelf Cloud. Usually scary looking, but dont usually produce tornadoes. As for METARs, Im working on my Private License. Plan to get it before my driving license :)

@Grace Tip of Info: On ground that is parched, when heavy rain comes, it tends to bounce of the ground instead of sinking into it. Thats why flash flooding occurs during dry spells. Stay inside and dont drive :)

How ironic... the weather tonight is the same as the weather in October. Flash flood warnings and tornadoes.

And thanks Colt. A lot of ours has to do with swelling rivers and poor drainage due to hills and valleys. The ground is no longer parched, so at least we have that going for us.

Wet season has started like 3 weeks ago... and we've had our first storm pass by the northern provinces quickly on monday.
