I made a reference to myself as Kramer from Seinfeld in another post and it inspired me to start a fun thread. Hope everyone has fun with this one. :)

Have you ever been compared to any characters or famous people?

Who are they and why were you compared to them?

I haven't been referred to anyone recently (say, since leaving high school). But, when I was in high school, I was at one point compared to Mick Foley (the professional wrestler). I actually took that as a compliment back then, because I was a huge wrestling fan at the time!

My name is Isaac and I have often been compared to the original Isaac. Isaac means laughter in the Bible, and - like most of my family - I have a wicked sense of humor.

There's a teenage girl at church named Tabatha. I found out purely by chance that Tabatha (not Tabitha, Tabatha, which is the way this girl spells her name) means gazelle. Coincidentally she is a very outspoken, energetic, rail-thin and always-on-the-move girl. I will sometimes greet her with "Hey Gazelle" and she responds "Hi Laughter."

Leah Remini from King of Queens

I've been told my attitude and tone of voice is like hers.

Kramer from Seinfeld: I have a tendency to make sudden and abrupt appearances in places least expected and then just disappear as quickly as I showed up.

Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory: I can sometimes miss someone's point by being too focused on logical points. There are times I am socially inept because of it and I have a tendency to over explain things or not consider the emotional aspects of a topic.

Shaggy from Scooby Doo: I am thin, usually have shaggy facial hair, and do one mean Shaggy impression. "Zoinks... like... did you have to say dead?" lol

Joe Dirt / David Spade: My brother and brother-in-law laughed so hard at the line, "He doesn't trim his beard like that. His facial hair just grows naturally trashy like that." lol I used to wear flannel shirts a lot. Was also told I look somewhat like David Spade (I don't see it). Not a very flattering comparison but have been told a lot of women think he is cute... so OK, whatever. lol

The most common one I have gotten is Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters. I suppose it is because I have long hair, facial hair and play music.
One person said 'if you don't head a foo fighters tribute band, you are neglecting your destiny'... Lol. I don't currently play any song by them.. Lol

I think maybe if I were to compare myself to someone personality wise- it would be my favourite artist, Laura Marling. Her demeanour, her music and lyrics. What she sings about. Even similar styles.

A stranger once told me that I look like Miranda Otto. I don't see it.

When I let the facial hair fly (as is the case currently), I get Johnny Depp or Manny Paquiao. Meh. As far as personality goes, I don't get compared as much. No one likes to hang out with a grouch. ^_^

I am often compared to Romeo from "Romeo and Juliet", because whenever a woman comes into my life, I want to kill myself.

***Special note: this has nothing to do with AzureAfire, because when she came into my life, I just wanted to be committed into the nearest asylum. Therefore, the only thing that died in me because of her, was my sanity!!!!

When I was younger I got Julia Roberts from several different people. (I never saw a resemblance.)

Now it seems I get Danica Patrick.

Hey Shouryu, you can steal my joke, as long as you credit my heartaches as your source of humor!!!
