I believe in individual property rights and earning what you make. Small government is best. Charity should be optional not mandatory.

Hello and why you are conservative.

(Seems a rather odd and awkward phrase for taking roll.)

In all seriousness, I'm pro 2nd amendment, pro property rights.

Politics is a very apropriate word. "Poli" meaning many, "tics" meaning blood sucking creatures.

And this thread title puts me on edge for some reason. Seems like the opening move in a politics rant.

I don't like being put in a label box. By what I believe, OTHERS would probably label me an ultra-conservative, but for myself I merely believe in a strict adherence to the Constitution. I don't believe it is a "living document" which means twisting it to mean something it obviously doesn't. Others might label me a Libertarian as I stray vastly from most who call themselves conservative on issues of privacy and police searches, stop and frisk, seat belt laws, community notification laws, gov. surveillance etc..

Hey, I'm conservative for the following reasons:

1. I'm for traditional marriage.
2. I'm pro-life.
3. 2nd Amendment
4. Property rights
5. Anti-socialism

When I was younger I used to think that "conservative" meant that people were quiet about their political beliefs and "liberal" meant people were very open and loud about them.

Then I grew up and realized that is very much not the case. :)

This is a site that caters to an international audience of Christians.

I don't think anyone in my country should be patriotic towards your country and vice versa.

I hope you meet someone nice! Peace Bro!

earning what you make You mean earning one's pay instead of being lazy and receiving a hand-out?

Charity should be optional not mandatory Is it really charity if it's mandatory? Is charity not voluntary, although sometimes done under great pressure? Tithing(which I am not a proponent of), for example, is usually done as a form of charity, although sometimes under pressure.

Why I am Conservative: Of the political viewpoints, it comes closest to the Biblical Christianity. Liberalism, on the other hand, is mainly liberation from Christianity. :(

I'm too busy being free in Christ to worry about who or what the worldly minded masses want to vote for

THIS sentiment is why we have people Like Barack Hussein Obama, Nancy Pelosi, the mayor of Houston (who recently subpoena Christian Pastor's sermons), and their policies like abortion on demand and homosexual marriage, untold millions on welfare etc...
We as Chistians are going to be held accountable for our votes or lack thereof.

+1 to what PennEd said. But Bride has been Jesus-juking a lot of threads in a similar fashion this week.
