What's the point of all that makeup?!?!
Not all woman plaster their face... I don't use makeup often and even when I do, you can't really make out lol..

Take a woman to a pool or beach for your first date if you really want to know what she looks like.... :p

...or be like me, lol. I met my sweetie through scouts. Her son & mine are in different dens, but we were on the same camp out. I still thought she was Drop Dead Gorgeous, when she was enduring me on day three of the camp out, still wearing the same pants from day one (my Other pair were rain pants, and it didn't rain, so...) I had undertaken only the most minimal grooming (wiped the eyeboogies out as I climbed out of my tent, and stuffed my cowboy hat on to keep my hair from scaring the children, then brushed my teeth), but she still talked to me anyway. She laughed about and expressed sympathy for the moms on the trip that were looking for a place to plug in their flat iron and that had applied ridiculous amounts of fancypants makeup On A Camp Out. It was a shock to me the first time I saw her wearing makeup - both because she was wearing make up and because most women I know who were not wearing it when I met them have no idea how to apply the stuff when they do. She knew what she was doing.

Just read that a little differently.... Inu, do you mean that you use makeup subtly and cannot necessarily discern that you are wearing it?(my first thought) Or are you talking about... no, never mind. back to my original understanding.

I barely use makeup.... My skin can't carry much of it and my face starts to itch lol.... Today I'm at work with not a stitch of makeup on. :)

I think we had a whole thread dedicated to this (I say "think" when I actually "know" because I started it).

Anyway, makeup is fun. That's the point of it for me. I like the process of putting it on, and I like all the different colors and...yeah, I'm all girly. But, I also don't wear it that often (anymore- I used to not leave the house without it, but having kids changes priorities and I finally realized I look fine without it).

I hate when women use that excuse. That's not an excuse to act mean, pick fights, be argumentative, rude etc.. etc.. As women, we've been living with hormones for all our life. If by a certain age you still can't get that some what under control.. then it's not hormones anymore, you're just a jerk.

And I would say to men, don't date or marry women who consistently use hormones as a reason to act like a psycho.

Inu, i wasn't trying to pick on you by saying this, and i did not mean any of this directed specifically at you either. :)
Perhaps next time a woman excuses her behavior for hormones i should start talking about other womens body parts as they walk by. That way when the woman i'm with gets mad i can just say 'it's hormones i can't help it'. ;)

:)

What about sexually frustrated women in their 40's who's biological clocks are ticking and just wanna have a baby because they may or may not be going through menopause soon/
...can they use that as an excuse?

If you can't make out while wearing makeup, why is makeup so popular? I'm sure wearing lipstick etc. hasn't stopped people before.
