Hi Hi:rolleyes:

So I have been curious for some time as to why some of us have chosen the nicknames that we assume on CC, along with our avatars....

I will go first. Inu is a nickname kept for me, by friends.... it is the first 3 letters of my name:) My avatar?.... ummmmm I have no idea who this chick is:rolleyes:

What are your reasons?

My nickname is pretty simple. I'm a Christian. I'm a drummer. So, it was only a matter of time before those two words were combined to creat something! As for my avatar (or lack thereof)... I'm not cool enough to have one yet. Or, I don't know what to use as one... either one.

I chose blue ladybug as mine because my favorite color is blue, and I love ladybugs. They are so graceful and beautiful and they symbolize hope and renewal to me. As for my avatar(s) and signature pic(s), they all come from my faith book. :) And yes, blue ladybugs actually are real! Google them, girl! lol :)

Miss Cris is a nickname my aunt gave me when I was little. I actually hated being called Cris by anyone other than her, but everyone called (calls) me Cris anyway. Meh. Anyway, I mostly just couldn't think of anything clever when I signed up.

My avatar...uhh...dunno.

Gandalf was my nickname at university and my avatar was cool when I saw the photo on the net. My real name is Danie… “hello Danie” feels like I’m at an AA meeting LOL

As for the chick on your avatar, the rumor is that she can make a killer milkshake that will make a six year old cry :)

I am a tourist just passing through on this earthly plane. I chose my avatar because it looked like a rainbow full of promise and hope. It also looked a little edgy and I liked that.

It looked edgy, but this guy is quite centered and down to earth.

I can be a bit feisty, I don't mind speaking up if it's necessary, especially if I'm defending my children or personal property.

I lost a lot of my hair when I went on high blood pressure medicine and had to start wearing a wig. Good time to try a new style, and the wig I picked was called a sassy pixie, short and spiky.

I chose Lynx because I like felines. I've had a dog and I've had a cat, and felines are just more dignified. Plus they move much more smoothly, and I have always personally had a good sense of balance and moved fluidly.

Why a lynx in particular? They're a good balance between extremes. Cheetahs are fast but have no endurace. They have to rest half an hour after the hunt before they have the energy to eat. Tigers have the strength but no speed - they have to wait in hiding for prey to come to them. Lynx are a nice mix.

Plus a lynx probably won't attack you in the wild. They'd much rather remain hidden and let you go on about your business. There's nothing in it for them to attack you and everything in it for them to stay in their trees.

The avatar is a lynx I found online that looked particularly cool. It's my desktop background on 80% of my computer systems.

People that know me on CC, know why I picked my name. I have changed it 3 times already and I really think that speaks to who I am, and how I get bored with things or leave easily. Need renewal or change. Not necessarily a good thing. My avatar is me, without eye makeup. Something different cus I normally do wear makeup.

I have no idea why I picked my name, just sounded good at the time. No real reason, it just is. lol

As for the avatar, I have always enjoyed Zorro movies, esp. as a kid.
