We get a lot of new users through here, and sometimes they can be over-looked, or else their threads get derailed so fast it makes their head spin and they don't come back. We can be kind of...overwhelming, sometimes.

Please don't let that deter you from jumping into the other threads. We're always happy to see new names in here, even if we don't show it right away.

New members- I hope you'll use this thread to say hi, and maybe tell us a little bit about yourself, so we can get to know you.

"Old" members- I hope you'll jump in from time to time to welcome anyone brave enough to join this forum.

To make it a little easier for the new folks, here's a few questions to answer to get the ball rolling (those of us who have been here a while should feel free to answer too- after all, this thread is about getting to know people, and we're as new to them as they are to us, yeah?)

1. What's your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?

2. Who's your favorite band?

3. Name one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't yet.

It is so lovely to add pictures as you have done.
I really love how people add little pictures and messages.
Shall go computer course so I can do this also.

It is a friendly way communicating and so nice for the person or people whom receive a picture and little message.
Years ago when I had internet friend it made me ever so joyous to get message with picture saying things like "have a good day" followed by some charming picture or some other fitting to message picture.

Hi! I am new here. My name is Bear. Nice to meet you all. :)

1. What's your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Favourite way to spend a Sunday afternoon is by having a sumptuous lunch.
Options for the evening are - a game of bowling/pool/foosball, just stay at home and jam some music or cook a nice meal.

2. Who's your favorite band?
There are many. I like different genre. But my all-time favourite bands are Coldplay, Scorpions, 3 Doors Down, Adele, dc Talk and Hillsong (it's a church, but still). I also like Etta James, Louis Armstrong, David Guetta, Fedde le Grand, Michael W. Smith, Matt Redman, Kathryn Scott and MuteMath. I also like a bit of Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Dream Theater, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Jon Bon Jovi and many more!

3. Name one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't yet.
Do a road-trip covering all of Europe.

1. What's your favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon?
Playing outside with my kids, or else hanging out inside and reading or building blanket forts.

2. Who's your favorite band?
It changes often, but currently, Within Temptation.

3. Name one thing you've always wanted to do, but haven't yet.
I want to go hang gliding. I reeeeally do. I think I'd be scared out of my mind, but having a bird's eye view like that sounds epic.

It occurred to me (just now- that's how bad the delay in my brain is) that I should maybe go first, so's the next time someone new comes in, maybe they won't feel weird about answering (I feel totally weird answering, but then, I'm kind of a weirdo, so it works out).

Edit: Roh_Chris beat me to it!!
:p

There is a rumor there used to be chocolates, but it is just a rumor. At least now it is. :D

And if anybody is starting a Christian rock band, I volunteer to collaborate. I can play synth, organ, piano, and through my keyboard and computer I can also play bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, flute... just about anything.

It will do me for two hours, easily. Maybe even two and a half hours if I go easy.

I should make an amendment to what I said earlier. I cannot do strings (violin, viola) with any degree of realism. There's just too many articulation variations, it's not feasible with a keyboard interface. And I have to study most instruments before I can "play" them, because you can't just load a soundfont and play it like you would play a keyboard - it'll never sound right. So if there's an ethnic instrument with which I'm unfamiliar I will need to learn something about it before I can add it to a soundtrack.
