Hahaha! I can't believe you matched an Asian guy with rice! It's times like this that I wish I was Asian. :D

I guess I could be Pop Tart. Or I could go with Pixie Clicks... hmm.

Lil and dill pickles, so she can be Dill_Christian.

BugeyeSTi has to be Twinkie, and no, it doesn't have to make sense.
Shouryu is asian?

Yes, Zero. I "matched" Shour with jasmine rice because he has some jokes about it that make me grin.

It's kind of a running gag, especially in Singles Chat. Not that being Asian itself is a running gag, seeing as I'm a card-carrying, hamburger-eating member myself (I'm a bit of a hybrid, if you will.)

I never had any Asian friends growing up and was often reminded that I was "different" (usually through the ever-so-helpful and all-too-familiar gesture of others "slanting" their eyes at us, both as kids and as adults). So it's really cool, and somewhat healing, to be able to sit around and shoot the breeze in Singles with several other fellow Asians who are often making jokes about Asian stereotypes.

Shour and some of the others don't know it (DanPhu also comes to mind) but through their good-natured joking and awesome senses of humor, they've actually helped me get over some of the pain from people making fun of me as a kid (and even as an adult.)

May no grain of rice ever be left unturned!

I used to get bullied all the time for looking asian. I was always the only asian-looking kid in my school and therefore a perfect target for bullies. Well there was one thai girl in high school and she became the valedictorian. Meanwhile, I barely graduated..

That's so stupid! :( I'm sorry.

I hope I didn't make you feel bad by pointing out the rice thing. I was just having a laugh at Kim's sense of humor. :D

I am so sorry to hear that you both were bullied. :(

I know how it feels. I wish that we can have a world without bullies. :(

lol no not at all. :) I'm not bothered by ethnic jokes anymore. In fact one of my screennames on another site used to be riceboy. The things is that now asians are seen as overacheivers and super smart. Back when I was in school they were still stigmatized as second class citizens. What's worse is that I'm not actually asian. I'm pacific islander. :p
