I'm off to the dentist.

And I'm totally making a much bigger deal out of it than it really is.

But I mean...fillings...drills...*shudders*

But I ain't scared. Nope.

...this thread is totally pointless, by the way, so feel free to post silliness, or nothing at all, or terrifying dentist videos, or...well, maybe not the last one.

You will be just fine and it will all be over quickly, God will be there too so focus on Him as He guides the hands of the dental surgeon.

This place is very much like the Twilight Zone. It is easy to get here but impossible to leave. There is an entrance but no exit. It's not so bad really. I am going to have another cookie now...

Terrible confession...

I haven't been to the dentist in over 10 years.

But, I have dental insurance now and it covers two cleanings a year, so. That'll be a thing, now.

i was in the same spot last year, finally got a dental plan (thanks, much-maligned-but-actually-not-that-evil Obamacare) after going at least 10 years without one.

it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be :)

(had fear of dentists)
(is getting over it)

I hadn't been to the dentist in ten years either, before my appointment last week.

Just got done getting 2 fillings. My lip and nose are numb. Fuuuun times.

Oh the numb lips that brings back memories....

I would play with my lips like a guitar and since I couldn't feel anything I squeeze them as hard as I can and I admit to drooling sometimes but hey you gotta have fun with a bad situation so play the lip guitar:D

I love the dentist. The feeling of clean teeth brings jubilation!

Ladies and gentlemen, if your answer to this question is, "No, I haven't," I beseech, implore, greatly urge that you leave it so. Do not explore your curiosity, don't even fire up Netflix, don't even search for clips online. This film will DAMAGE you. It will straight up ruin you mentally. And I say this as someone who saw about 30 minutes of it as an adult.

We are talking about a torture film that is not anywhere on the level of Eli Roth's graphic garbage, yet manages to be just as (if not more so) frightening and disturbing.

I suppose if you don't want to sleep for a week and never be able to look at a dental hygienist's hardware without flinching again, then, by all means...
