Got the idea for this thread from a post by ChandlerFan (so thanks!) in another thread...

Just share a couple (as few or as many as you like) positive things about your day.

Mine:
-It's sunny and fairly warm outside which means...I dunno what it means, but it's nice.

-The kitchen is sparkly and clean (maybe not sparkly, but if there was anything shiny in there, it would be sparkling, because you know, so clean...)

-I figured out how to work around an irritating problem that was going to set me back on a project

So...yay!

Slept the best last night that I've been able to so far on this trip.

Nice, quiet morning.

Snow!

I'm training a guy at work and he's competent! Yay!

In fact he's got the whole show while I'm taking a break, and he seems to be doing fairly well.

After spending a few minutes catching up on the threads, the most positive part of my day is the pleasant reminder that there are still plenty of God-fearing, compassionate, intelligent, funny, and downright wonderful people on CC.

In the midst of all the... OTHER attitudes we sometimes encounter here, it can be easy to forget and I'm thankful to be reminded of that.

I installed a conversion kit for HID Xenon headlights in my Mazda all by myself! FYI: I do not have a lot of automotive knowledge, let alone hands-on experience.

Also: Yay for everyone else's positive experiences here, as well as for MissCris starting the thread! :D

IT SNOWED TODAY!

(This has been the weirdest winter. We're usually up to our necks in snow by now, but up until this morning we still had green grass!)

I genuinely wish we could take some of that snow off of you guys. Up here, communities and individuals are well equipped to deal with such heavy snowfall and it's still hard on us, so I can only imagine how much more difficult it is in areas where people aren't as well-equipped. I'm praying for all of you!

I wish you could, too.. the ski resorts here, jay peak and killington are loving this snow.. It brings in big $$ for them.. :) thanks for your prayers.. :)

I went to the tire store today to get a quote on a set of new tires today expecting to hear something in the range of $1,200 (truck tires ain't cheap) to find out that Big O Tires is running a buy 3 get 1 free special this weekend. $1,250 worth of tires for $960 :D:D:D

**does Snoopy happy dance

It still hurt forking over the cash though.

I am thankful for a roof to sleep under, a bed to sleep on and for all my basic necessities.

I am thankful for God's grace and strength which has supported me thus far.

I am thankful for all the folk on CC who have advised me patiently and who have prayed for me.

For the past so many months, I had a personal ailment that affected me a lot. I couldn't take any medication for it because of my church. But over the last week, I have felt better and better. The ailment is almost gone. I am thankful to God for the healing He has given me.

(P.S. I must share something with you and everybody else who reads my post. I was not in the best 'frame of mind' since this Sunday. Today morning, I didn't feel any good either. And when I read this thread about two hours ago I thought, 'There is nothing to feel positive about in my life.' But I have now realised that there are 4 reasons why I must be positive today. Thank you MissCris for posting this thread and provoking me to think.)
