Everybody's getting ready
For Christmas again this year
Dad's down at the liquor store
Stocking up on christmas cheer
Mom's just glad that the loan went through
Big brother's talking slopes and skis
And little sister's talking bout a shopping mall
Sitting on a Santa Claus knee
It's gonna be a very scary christmas
Cause it's a frightening thing to know
That our world is held together by
Some ribbons and a bow
And the X that took the place of Christ
On every card you read
Says have a very scary christmas indeed

That's not my favorite one, that's just something I want everyone to listen to just to remind them it ain't all about the presents.
My favorite one is a Hinsons song I can't find on youtube, "It's christmas day." It starts out with "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..." *sounds of thunder and rain* "Well... maybe next year."
Family singing carols round the fireplace, it's Christmas
And it don't matter if Grandpa sings off key
Cause the harmony's felt this time of year, it's Christmas
And with the family all home, sure sounds like a choir to me!

I'm traced through my heritage ancestry to be Elvis Presley's 7th cousin. I know, I know... not exactly direct relation, but still. I think it's kinda cool. But if you're asking me which Elvis I like BETTER? Definitely the suave Elvis -- '68 Come Back Special is my favorite concert of his. Okay... now you can laugh!! LOL

I was raised with Elvis since my mom was quite the fan... Now, I incorporate his music for the warm, homey feelings during Christmas
