Is an annulment the same as a divorce biblically?

bible dos not talk about annul

I think the RC church came up with it to deal with certain situations

Depends on when we are truly married. Some believe that a couple is married after a ceremony. Others don't believe that a couple is married until the marriage has been consimated. If the latter is true, then no, anullment wouldn't be divorce. But if the first is true, then yes it would. It's a good question, I'll have to think on it.

So would someone who has had their marriage annulled be considered a divorcee in that the bible says they are not to marry again?

I have always been under the impression that annulment is if a married couple ends their marriage after only being married a short time. I n my opinion annulment might as well be called divorce because to me they are both pratically the same thing.
