"In life, we never lose friends, we only learn who the true ones are."

I know this quote is not entirely accurate, but it gave me some encouragement.

I think that's brilliant!

I like it! It seems to ring true, especially as one gets older.

Meh.

I have friends with whom I haven't spoken to in years. And yet I could call them tonight, and it would be as if those years had never passed.

Not EVERY bond requires constant attention. Peopke grow up. Life takes over. I don't have time for a social life right now, and neither do they. It's okay, because they understand and I understand how it is and why it is, and we're mature enough to handle it.

Life goes on.

Sometimes God sends us friends for a season. And when that season is over, we part ways. That doesn't mean they were never friends in the first place. It just means that they've done the work that God brought them into our lives to do. :)

Totally agree. It's just really hard when friends leave your life. I think friends and family are like yin and yang, the more you love/like them, the more they can hurt you.

I've been thinking about this a lot and I have come to the conclusion that there are seasons in one's life. Sometimes we will have friends at one time and another season those friends will be gone. This doesn't mean that they were never really your friends. It just means that they and you went separate ways. So even though I first agreed I'm thinking that it isn't true anymore.

I think if they left in a way that hurt you that's a different story, but if you all just stopped talking because life got in the way, well that just means you all drifted apart. It's normal :)

Life is a mystery for sure, glad I'm not the only one trying to unravel it's riddles. Here is another quote to ponder on...

“it is in trouble's hour that the good most clearly show their friendship; though prosperity by itself in every case finds friends”

Which is why I'm actually glad I'm not rich or famous. Any friends I have, they're real friends already. =^.^=
