Dear Lord,
I'll be alone this Valentine's Day like many others, and I know this is my choice. I've walled off my hear out of fear of getting hurt again and out of fear that with my past I am more than any good-hearted woman could risk loving. That being said, Lord, if it is within your plans for me that I should meet some kind and pretty lady who takes a wrecking ball to the brick walls around my heart, then I won't argue with you, and I promise I'll try my best to treat her with kindness, honesty, respect, and I might even dote on her a little bit too. Amen.
