I wont be reading antagonistic or complaining posts, just looking for christians to talk to who believe in holiness in their music always if they listen to or sing or play music

That kind of depends upon what your definition of "Holiness" is, doesn't it?

Holiness in music. And that is why you had the word 'Saint' on your ID. Okay, I get it now..

This somehow reminds me of the vision that Peter had. Remember what the angel told him? :)

I don't think you'll find many assenting opinions here including mine, which is that holiness and rock, country, rap, and CCM are not inherently incompatible.

I'm trying my best to believe the OP is legit - misguided, but legit - in his post. But my instincts keep yelling, "TROLL!"

Again, I'm not intersted in contrary opinions and will not respond to them. there was a time when I would have agreed with all of the contrary opinions. The Word of God changed me. If you want to love worldly music which glorifies sin, go ahead. God can handle you.

And by the way (assuming the OP really is legit) I would not qualify for one of the people you're looking to talk to. I have a wide variety of styles in my music collection. All christian, but all different styles.

Just out of curiosity SaintJoeNow, what DO you consider "real" christian music? Hymns only? Does southern gospel qualify? What about bluegrass gospel... or is that too close to country?

I can tell at a glance if you are being antagonistic and I skip over it, ignore it. I really don't want to talk to people who are antagonistic to the title of this thread

And yet you keep responding and rising to them. Not being antagonistic, just pointing out fact.

I don't need to read any of the contrary opinions to know what's being said...I heard it all a million times. It only takes a glance for me to see if your post is worth reading for me. I can tell in the first few words if you are antagonistic to the title of this thread and I don't want to talk to you.

Just the fact that it was posted here and not in the music forum shows the concern isn't really about music..just stirring people around.

Yeah but with all the music he excluded I gotta wonder what music he will allow.

If you can't handle a little discussion about a topic, forums probably aren't the right place to be :) And I can tell that you've received a lot of pushback from Christians on this in the past. Perhaps there's a reason for that?

You have no place to tell anyone else what God has or has not done in their heart based on them having different musical tastes than you. Like I said, if you aren't interested in dissenting opinions, perhaps this isn't the best place to be because they will continue to come.

(Christian mode on)

Any style of music can be holy if you devote your musical interest to serving God.
