Yeah... but what is "everything"? 3rd rate shows on a restricted basis? Some series have hundreds of episodes in their history... yet they offer maybe only 5 of them? Too, many of what they call "shows" are only clips of the show. My wife was livid when she found out she had to watch her favorite show 30 seconds at a time. Sure, it may work for the short attention span of the kids we have today. But not for us. Why can't I have access to the whole library? Too, they would put up a clickable picture of a show... but click on it and all you get is another clickable picture - not the actual show. I once chased a teaser like that thru 10 pages of.. well, nothing. Never did get to see the actual show. Just the teasers. Also, a lot of them require you to be signed up with a service like AT&T or Comcast to view them. If I need AT&T to get it, why do I need Netflix? Again, a pay service requiring you to pay even more for another service to get what they promised you.

Netflix has show's that come and go I believe. They just started showing MASH also Friends is fairly new on there. What they have is what you get. That's exactly it. If they don't have it, you don't get it.

HULU has more network shows and they show the new episodes the day after they air on TV.

I have never experienced what you are talking about here. This was Netflix? Netflix as far as I know has all of the seasons of the shows they offer, except the very latest season. Understandable, since the networks want you to watch the current season on their channel with their ads being featured.

I've never seen a clip of a show, definitely not a situation where we would have to watch a show 30 seconds at a time. Could you have been on Youtube or something? Maybe this was a "preview" of Netflix rather than the full service that you pay for?

If I wanna see something... I'll find something better to do until the urge passes. I'm so out of the loop on this thread it's ridiculous. If you said one of those shows y'all mentioned featured a real life execution in full detail I wouldn't know if you were telling the truth or pulling my leg.

It was a 30 day trial of their top tier service. Hulu was the same. Lots of clips, lots of 4th rate stuff, and to watch anything meaningful or entertaining you had to have a service like att or charter or such to tap into.

But that's not unusual. Pretty much all technology exists for the purpose of giving me grief. I'm one step away from joining the Amish.

New Girl

The Mindy Project

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Angel

Firefly

The Walking Dead

The Big Bang Theory

Grey's Anatomy

How to Get Away With Murder

Various Law & Orders

I also like shows that show you how stuff is made, documentaries, superhero movies (as long as they're Marvel), and other things that I can't remember at the moment.

Enough anime to choke a horse. Actually I got bored with the Netflix selection and went straight for Funimation's streaming service so I had more selection. These gems are on there though:
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Soul Eater
Psycho Pass
In search of the lost future (sorry, not on netflix) - it's one big sad love story, I like those

None of those are really child appropriate for various reasons ranging from hyper violent to skeezy women.

Netflix though? Dr Who, it's gotta be Dr Who. Or Continuum (that show is some awesome Sci Fi).

Oh and bad sci fi movies. Oh sweet mercy they are such comic gold. If someone doesn't enjoy a bad sci fi movie they have no sense of humor whatsoever.

And they're doing better with their action movie selection these days. Two of Arnold's newest are on there, and both were quite good (although there were too many topless scenes in Sabotage). And They have lots of gems on there.
