Talk to God..with him around, you cannot possibly be lonely.. Get a cat or a dog..they give unconditional love and never sass you back..lol.. :)

First you should discern whether you are lonely or just bored. I know of many who confuse the two.

The solution for both, however, is the same. Get out and DO something. Find a song that really gets you and make a guitar soundtrack for it. Pipe your guitar audio into the computer and experiment with computer-based FX. (There are some wonderful FX you can do through a computer, and all for freeeeeee!) Go try a new restaurant you have never been to.

Don't wait for somebody else to be with you before you start living. Get out and LIVE!

Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

To be happy, just forget about you.

Both of these little sayings are worth learning.

I concur with Isaac.

Do things. All the things. Do them.

It usually helps to try to cheer someone else up, especially if they really need it. There's a much longer answer that I don't really have time to retype, so I'll do a link to a thread I made about something that helped me while helping others as well.

As far as having friends to talk to, you're talking to us on this site, aren't you :)? And of course, Jesus is always with you if you've trusted Him to save you. No greater Friend than that :).

This.

"Go out and do something" is a fair piece of advice, but doesn't specifically address your condition.

What if you're bored and lonely at the same time? Does that mean you're bolonley?

No no no... if we're gonna derail the thread let's at least do it right. Bored + lonely = bornely. Being bornely can drive you barmy (mildly crazy.)

Is loneliness a sign that you're needing someone in your life!?
