Something is heavy on my heart today. I've mentioned my Son's friend before, his Mom left him and his little Brother because she's an addict. Well now the Dad is in legal trouble and their Grandmother will be granted temporary custody.

I don't know what the outcome will be to all of this. I asked my Husband if it came down to it (I don't think it will) would he be willing to foster them? He would. I don't think that will happen but my heart breaks for them. I'm not sure if their Dad will end up in rehab or jail. I'm more worried about when he gets out. Neither parent makes good responsible choices. Their Grandmother is a good person and love's them. We talked yesterday and she said she's stressed out and tired. I'm trying to help. Their Father is detoxing and being horrible to his Mom. It makes me sick. It would take me 12 million posts to explain all she's done for him, mostly for the kids.

Please pray, thank you.

How very sad. Of course I will pray for this little boy and the entire situation.

You have a good heart, God bless you. :)

I think God put us in these kid's life for a reason MadParrotWoman. I met the oldest at my kid's bus stop with his Mom. I used to play with the youngest one because his Mom would constantly yell at him. I knew something wasn't right. I didn't know it was drugs but something. I love them and just want them to be safe. No kid should have to go through this crap, it's awful.

He probably did, God works like that. Just be there for the little boy and let the legalities take care of themselves. You may be the only stability in this little boy's life so keep doing what you are doing. I prayed so if God wasn't involved before He is now. ;)

I pray the Lord make a way for those two young boys. How wonderful that your mother's heart has compassion for them as sons. So many children suffering in this world and praise God that you are one of His own who shows mercy and love to these boys.

Throughout my years at school I always befriended people who had issues at home and they always told me that I was a rock that they could always lean on in comfort and safety. Its a shame that many people allow their addictions to affect their families and in the end tear them apart. I will pray for you and especially your son to continue being a witness to his friend that they come to lean on the Lord during the hard times as well as for the good times as well. I will also pray that the Lord is revealed to both parents during detox in a mighty way that they learn what God's love really is.

I pray the Lord is revealed to the parents. The Mom is also mentally ill so there is that to. They need stability and love. Thank God for their Grandma. She's a lovely person.

Actually, I was just thinking that. I am a grandmother and if I had to witness my adult child struggle with addiction and see my grandsons suffer as a result would crush my heart! Thank you for drawing that to my attention. I pray for God's mercy and love to heal that family!! Lord, we pray they find You and their lives be renewed in joy and peace and love. Thank You, Faithful Lord! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

It would be crushing Violet. The Grandma blames herself, she feel's like she enabled him. I don't think she did. I don't know every aspect of the situation but I do know that she's watched the kids and helped when needed. I mean there Mom isn't around and he needed help with childcare, I don't think that's enabling. She didn't know he was using. When she found out it was at the point that the school, children and youth services and the law were involved.

Usually that is what happens when one has a child who went down a bad road, like addiction, prostitution, and the list goes on. I will just pray that it will not affect her health and she is able to deal with the stress in a healthy way. I mean, I can't imagine what is going through her head right now and will pray that she turns to our heavenly Father for comfort and understanding through this difficult time in her life and is able to share that love with her grandkids and reminds them continually that even though their earthly parents are having some issues, to say the lease that God will be anything and everything that they need in a parent and then some. Fenner, please keep us updated.

I'll keep you all updated. I hope she leans on God to, I think she will. Luckily the boys don't have lack of love in their family, because of her.
