When you say you "quit" listening to God...how do you mean. Do you mean listening to God BEFORE you got in this relationship or do you mean WHILE you were in this relationship?

For me, the biggest challenge is to find a man with real love to God and similar interests.

There are a lot of men that go to church but only as a religion but without love to God and there are a lot of men that love God but are very different from me.

While I was in the relationship, I would ask God questions but wasnt willing to listen to the answer no. I do believe he led me into that relationship, but eventually he tried to lead me out, and I wasnt willing.

OK...I got it...........however I do disagree with one thing you said. You said that you believed that God led you into the relationship and then tried to lead you out. I think it's pretty safe to say that God doesn't make mistakes because He is all powerful and all knowing. However we as humans do make mistakes because our understanding is finite while God's is infinite. It is possible that God didn't actually lead you in that relationship and was trying to lead you out. I just can't see however that he led you in and then realized He made a mistake and thought He should get you out of it.

One of the biggest problems Christians in general have is learning how to hear from God and when they hear something, knowing that it was God who they heard. The truth of the matter is that anything God tells you is first of all going to line up with His word. For example....if you meet an unsaved person and for some reason feel they are the one sent from God then you are NOT hearing from God because His word says in 2 Corinthians 6:14) to not be unequally yoked with non-believers.

If you are really looking to be able to hear from God then the best thing you can do is get closer to Him. If I were to whisper something to you from across the street then chances are pretty great you won't be able to hear a word I am saying. However, the closer you are to me the better you will be able to hear what I am trying to tell you. The same is true with God. The way we get closer to God is through prayer and studying His word in the bible.

Your frustration from what I read is finding someone who really loves God and is not just "Playing Religion" as well as finding someone with similar interests as you. To answer the first part....the bible says in Matthew 7:16 that you will know them by their fruits. Just because a tree is planted in an apple orchard doesn't necessarily make it an apple tree. The only way to find out what type of tree you are dealing with is to wait until that trees fruits start showing.

As for the second part...if you are looking for someone who shares the same interests as you do just think back to the old saying that "birds of a feather flock together" If you have a passion for bowling then consider someone you might meet who is also a lover of bowling. If your passion is giving to the needy then you might meet someone while volunteering your time at a homeless shelter. My major is marketing, and I remember reading once that if you are looking to catch fish then go to where the fish are swimming. If you trust God, He can bring about the divine encounter that will put you in the right place and at the right time to meet that special someone

I'm definetly not saying God made a mistake. I'm saying I made a mistake, it was a good relationship at first, we were focused on God and were priorities in each others lives. But, we hit a point in our relationship where we quit doing everything the way we should. And took our focus from God, we made the decisisions that ruined our relationship by going to far physically (and no we didnt have sex) but still to far, and all these things. Which is why I believe eventually he led me out of the relationship because it was no longera healthy relationship for either of us. And yes God wanted to be first in my life, and i wasnt having that so he made it so he was...

I think the hardest thing is finding a godly woman willing to support me and clean up after me and who finds me physically attractive

Finding her is not your job...it's God's. Before I finally met the wife God sent to me I was continually trying to "find" the right one with pretty much no luck. Finally I just let go and decided to let God do what He does best...which is everything. I then decided that I was going to focus on Him and improving my relationship with Him, rather than focusing on finding my wife to be. As a result, God ended up bringing my wife to me rather than me having to go out and try to find her

Well I'm generalising of course, but to be more specific I mean all of them.
That made me laugh. Sounds like something my friend would say.

If a man and a woman have a love for God in common how many more interests do they need to share? I mean take mixing colors together, if you mix blue and blue you get blue, but if you mix blue and red together you get something new! Purple I think...Another, maybe better example, mixing copper and copper you get more copper, but if you mix copper with tin then you get bronze, something stronger and prettier to boot.

The problem for guys is that a virtuous woman is rare. The bible says they are worth more than rubies. So they are hard to find, cost alot, and if you aren't careful you might just end up with a red piece of glass instead of the real deal.
