Interesting thread... I'm recently separated from my wife and partner of 10 years (the only one I have ever had). I love her and tried all I could to fix things, but it the end she choose what she did... (I'm not blameless in it all, just more hopeful to fix it than her it seems).
Anyhow, point is yes there are soul ties, yes it hurts, yes I believe it is not God's will for marriage to break, but as it says in scripture we are weak... and have free will to mess things up with.

Through it all though I know that for me God has been there and is my strength and hope for the future, when I needed him the most he gave me ways out and the support from various random sources when I needed it. It the connection I have to her is to break it will be though God.

I pray for my wife and hope she comes back to the lord... but as it is she doesn't want that.

I respect you Aquila and am sorry for your loss. It is just my opinion but I believe you did the right thing in trying to make things work for as long as possible.

You can't break a soul tie because it's your memory, aside from brainwashing there is no other way to get rid of it except time. Memories fade in time.

Dear Brother,

Wasn't it you that said in another post, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD ? And know this, these are indeed broken each and every day, by many in ministries all across the world............I do this all the time, this is one of the reasons the partciular Scripture in Hebrews 4:12 is there..............Go and read it, and befoe you are so quick to respond to what it says.....................PONDER IT BEFORE GOD FIRST.

Sit with HIM, talk to HIM about this patiular Scripture.

Then you will have Understanding then you will receive Knowledge, and as you apply it, it will become Wisdom for you as well.

According to the Scriptures, if we have sex with someone outside of marriage we're not supposed to have a 'next relationship' but rather marry that person we had sex with (Exodus 22:16).

Yikes!

Lord forgive me!
