How can you tell the difference between a boy and a man ? And how does a boy treat you (a girl/women) differently from a man ? Similarities / differences and what is the number pet peeve that women do that men can't stand esp in relationships

I don't really know myself what is the difference between a boy and a man? I have always been logical (nerd) as far back as i can remember? I have always known when to be responsible and when to have fun, i have never tried drugs or smoked or even punched anyone in anger, never in my entire life.... funny, in some ways it is as if i was borne a man?? lol, so i don't know?

What do women do in relationships that bother me the most? Well, the number one thing has to be lack of trust and the assumptions that lack of trust breeds. I try to understand that many women have past experiences that cause deep wounds, but, no matter how understanding i try to be, i cannot help how the lack of trust kills the romance.

Hard to give any realistically thoughtful answer when we don't know if we're talking about men who are 13, 23, 33, or 83. Perhaps if the original poster might be so kind as to unhide her age so that we have some context? There are considerable differences in all boys and/or men depending on the stage of life in which they exist. Without said context, it would be problematic (at best) to give any useful insight.

Otherwise, as I note in every post, it's easier just to assume you're 13, and actually talking about boys, who you would not realistically expect to act like men anyway.

"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs, and blaming it on you..."

Part of a poem on what it means to be a man.

Boys play house... Men build homes!!!
Boys shack up... Men get married!!!
Boys make babies... Men raise children!!!
A Boy won't raise his own children... A Man will raise his and someone else's!!!
Boys invent excuses for failure... Men produce strategies for success!!!
Boys look for somebody to take care of them... Men look for someone to take care of!!!
Boys seek popularity… Men demand respect and know how to give it!

I built my first home out of LEGO building blocks, back when I was 10. It was a two-storeyed home, with a garage, a driveway, a lawn and a picket fence. That counts, right? :p

That's nothing - I built my first lego spaceship when I was six. It was a cargo ship in three sections: Two cargo bays and a front cab to haul them.

Does that qualify as being a man?

And by the way my sister used to listen to Boyz to Men. That was one of her noise pollutions that I didn't find so noxious. It was a lot better than the Snoop Dawg stuff she listened to.

......what is the number 1 pet peeve that women do that men can't stand, esp in relationships
Telling their friends EVERY......single....... thing about us.

It's like dating 15 women at once.
..........and not knowing who 14 of them are.

Well, a boy may be cute and adorable, but a man is handsome and strong.

I want a man who is handsome, strong, God-fearing, who will challenge me, strong work ethic(not afraid to get down and dirty), when he faces a dilemma he won't have a melt down and is able to reassess and come up with a solution.

I love Proverbs 3 because it depicts everything I believe a man should be:
My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For length of days and long life
And peace they will add to you. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Honor the Lord with your possessions,
And with the firstfruits of all your increase;
[SUP]10 [/SUP]So your barns will be filled with plenty,
And your vats will overflow with new wine.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding;
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]She is more precious than rubies,
And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Length of days is in her right hand,
In her left hand riches and honor.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who retain her.

[SUP]19 [/SUP]The Lord by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding He established the heavens;
[SUP]20 [/SUP]By His knowledge the depths were broken up,
And clouds drop down the dew.

[SUP]21 [/SUP]My son, let them not depart from your eyes—
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
[SUP]22 [/SUP]So they will be life to your soul
And grace to your neck.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Then you will walk safely in your way,
And your foot will not stumble.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Do not be afraid of sudden terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For the Lord will be your confidence,
And will keep your foot from being caught.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,
When you have it with you.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Do not devise evil against your neighbor,
For he dwells by you for safety’s sake.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Do not strive with a man without cause,
If he has done you no harm.

[SUP]31 [/SUP]Do not envy the oppressor,
And choose none of his ways;
[SUP]32 [/SUP]For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord,
But His secret counsel is with the upright.
[SUP]33 [/SUP]The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked,
But He blesses the home of the just.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Surely He scorns the scornful,
But gives grace to the humble.
[SUP]35 [/SUP]The wise shall inherit glory,
But shame shall be the legacy of fools.
