Hi ya all. I am looking for some people who have the same religion as me. I am a Catholic. I belong to the Romen Catholic Church. I know you can have friends who belong to different religions. It's just that I would like some friends who are of the same religion I am. Please let me know if you are a Catholic. But if you are not a Catholic. But would like some info on what a Catholic is let me know. And I will see what I can do to help you find what you won't to know. Please don't be shy if you have any questions. Because I am more then happy to help you find what you are looking for.

Hi Mysteryreader, I was Catholic at one time. I was baptized, had my first holy cononunion but never confirmed. We had some mix with the parental faiths, long story. I don't know a lot about it but I think we do have some other Catholics who frequent CC. I wish you the best of luck. God Bless.

Keep in mind the sites official position is that they deny Catholicism as a denomination of the Christian church, so while there are some on here, mostly they sit in the BDF and argue.

There are very few catholics on this site. It is mostly protestant and some non-denominational. My favorite saints are all women (but I didn't plan it that way).

[h=3]Sticky: Catholic Heresy (for the record)[/h] Started by RoboOp, May 30th, 2012

>>"........So for the record, Catholicism is heresy. That's what the admins of this site believe.

Mary WAS A SINNER.

She needed a savior, just like you and me......."

with this and many other WORDS, GOD has shown the ekklesia that rcc catholic is heresy/ antichrist/ i.e. NOT GOOD.

it is not viable for life, nor compatible with BIBLE or with BIBLICAL christianity. worldly/carnal sure. not biblical.

if you trust God through Jesus , anywhere you go is just as safe as anywhere else, as He is Perfectly able to watch over and protect you.

if you trust man, then no where on earth is safe, as He says in HIS WORD whoever trusts in man is cursed.

I think you are over-spiritualizing her comment. Yes, we all know that we are always/eternally safe if we trust in Christ; however I assume she is talking in a general sense about the people she would encounter and simply not wanting to deal with less than friendly people.

The reality is, what GOD sees as important, is everyone's salvation. He would also see it important that we speak in love to everyone, because that is how they will know Him. I don't like questioning someone's salvation without even discussing it with them. Just because someone says they are a certain religion/denomination does not mean he or she subscribes to all of the doctrine. Based on my own experiences, growing up in one church does not mean you agree with everything taught. I think we are better served by getting to know someone's spiritual journey before automatically going to question their salvation.

Coming from that place of understanding will allow all of us to speak to their spiritual needs and possible misunderstandings.

Just don't expect any sympathy for our faith here.
It saddens me that you are probably right about this, because what a great opportunity to have an open, honest discussion of people of different beliefs.

WOW! GOD is concerned with your salvation, and that's annoying!? Check out what HIS WORD says about talking about other beliefs/gods/ heathens/ heresy..... HINT : HE says not to trust any other GOD at all, and to never have any idols.

HERESY means "not saved". Not even in the ball park for salvation.

the rcc doctrines and practices are heresy, plain and simple.

if THAT'S annoying, thank GOD! and repent - turn to GOD in JESUS (not in man) to be saved.

wait a second. once again, you're putting words in someone's mouth. he never said (or even implied) that he or anyone else is annoyed with the need for, or God's concern about salvation for the lost.

further, this young woman was simply seeking some fellowship with others who share some of her faith beliefs.

while i am not personally catholic, i HAVE known catholics who were also christians, thus these are not always mutually exclusive. as hoss said, if you are genuinely concerned about her spiritual condition, perhaps you should make an earnest effort to learn more about her specific faith, as opposed to doing a "drive by" and making assumptions that are unwarranted.

i have found it very helpful to afford people a little grace and open-mindedness before attacking them and their personal beliefs. : )

when JESUS told someone to repent of their sins, turn to yahweh to be saved, was HE attacking them ?

every servant /disciple/ messenger/ of yahweh (GOD) sent to deliver the GOOD NEWS was given the same MESSAGE to them "REPENT, the Kingdom of God is at hand"

they were NEVER TOLD "you're okay, keep on sinning and God will be nice to you". no. never. not even once.

since mormonism, jw's, buddhism, and rcc catholicism do not offer salvation in JESUS CHRIST,

it is bad form to expect or assume that anyone who admits to being catholic is saved. that is contradictory.
