I'm 50, my first boyfriend was at 23 years old I learned to kiss at that age. My second bf was at 25 but chose not to kiss in an intimate way because my first relationship was going to far. I didn't like the feeling that I was loosing control. My third relationship was long distance and didn't last too long. I was too scared to move away from my family and there was no way he could get his type of work here. I did not date in between those 3 relationships and have not had a boyfriend since then. There was one other man that was intrigued by the fact that I was a virgin and kinda led me on but I chose to stop before I gave in to him. Now I'm not sure if it was my insecurities or just that I knew it would be sin that kept me. Most times I'm ok with being single and not having to deal with a relationship that may go wrong. I am a foster parent and kids keep me busy but I do miss that closeness to someone. I just don't know if I desire it enough or not and shouldn't seek. What are your thoughts?

There is a great Francis Chan video about this woman in her late 40's early 50's...
She had a special needs child, and never thought she would marry again...

God gave her a Man that on the wedding day turned around and said "I have another ring" and told her daughter to come up. He gave her the ring and said "I am not just marrying your mom I am going to be your dad". (Long time since I have watched the video so the quotes are not exact)

Anyways, even though God might seem like he is taking forever... He always holds out for a reason...
Also God has shown me in my own life... The things I ask for are not what I need... Like it's written, our ways are not His ways, our thoughts are not His thoughts Isaiah 55:8-9

Just stay strong... And submit a prayer request :) Power in prayer :D

Thank you for the response, I've never been one to go out looking and since christian mingle back in 2002 I hadn't joined a singles site or forum till now. But recently have been thinking more about it but I don't know if I even want to seek that option. I dont know if i want a relationship. My mother was my world and she died in 2001 and since 2006 I've been a foster parent and have had 28 kids and now they are my focus. I never wanted to marry before because I knew I could not have my own children and did not want to take that from anyone. Now at my age no one wants children anyway so the thought lately had been hmmm just maybe lol but all is good. My God definitely supplies all my needs and takes great care of me. I just don't know if o should even entertain the idea.

I think you should stay the course you are on. You are content. You seem secure and confident. I'll put it this way: Don't purposely seek a relationship with a man, but don't purposely avoid or turn down opportunities.

All relationships can go wrong, but not all do.

In your case, you would probably need to find someone who's nearly independent and content in life as you are.

If you were to find yourself with someone, your story would go like this: "I never was looking or really wanting to marry. But when ??? came along, my plans changed. I saw in him so many wonderful traits. He loves kids. He's patient. He's helpful. He's content. And he loves home."
