Moving heights??

Not sure I get it.... you mean like falling? Like bungee and sky diving and such?

If so, then you would be ok with rappelling.....
Yes, like falling. Rappelling? I've done a little. It scared the dickens out of me. The jumping down the side of a cliff bit wasn't so bad, it was the initial jump into nothingness. Ugh. Here we call rappelling 'abseiling'.

Even delicate flowers can do things like tracking, stand up paddling, kayaking, spelunking, scuba diving... those are outdoors fun stuff, but at the same time are calm things to do... :D

That first jump is terrible!! But exciting at the same time!!

Bungee is really fun!! But now I'm trying to gather up my courage to do skydiving... my brother in law is into skydiving... and he always tries to get me and my sisters to do it... I'm almost conviced.... :D

Wowsers, Carol! I would never be able to keep up with you. I'm not an armchair adventurer, but that's a bit much!

Huahuahuahua

I'm not that much of an adventurer... but I like to try things at least once!! :)

Bungee is absolutely terrifying, but it's fun!! It really is!! And I'm totally freaked out with heights... I'm that kind of person who doesn't like to go near balconies or high ledges... hehehehe But I do my best to break my own paradigms... Keep an open mind about things... :)

Really? That's even more amazing. I have no problem with balconies or high ledges or ...being tall :p, but I do have problems with moving heights (be it eg. flying or the idea of bungy-jumping). Good on you.

Huahuahuahuahua being tall was a good one!! :D

If I'm ever in your area I'll take you bungee jumping... ;) And since you're used to hights (being tall and all) it will feel like you just jumped off a step... heheheh ;)

But really... you're in an area known for extreme sports (Australia and New Zealand)... take advantage of it!! :D

I have plenty of times. And I do not allow them to drag me down. It you are afraid to do what I want to do I support your choice, however I will still do it. You will be there to encourage / support me or you are not the man for me. A do not feel a partner needs to be the same as you...boring!!! However they should still support you and your adventurous side. Last guy I dated was afraid of roller coasters. So he would go to parks with me and just stand in line and walk out the exit. I always said isn't it boring, he said he didn't mind because I was having fun.

I always get the reputation of being a boring homebody (which can be true), but the truth is, I am a homebody who gets cravings for big adventure, and I would hope to find someone who is similar in different ways (so that we're always encouraging each other to try new things but in a healthy way). I love travel and seeing new places.

I have a very dichotomous personality that always hovers in "responsible planner" mode but loves to fly off the rails by planning enough to be spontaneous.

For instance: I get cravings for speed, though in all honesty, vehicles in open terrains scare me. I've been on a jet ski, snow mobile, and motorcycle and loved it--I love the fast motion and the wind whipping past all your extremities. But I can be just as happy on a paddle boat or lazy canoe ride.

However... when I REALLY get cravings for speed... I feel safest... (oddly enough) on roller coasters (even though I have a fear of heights as well.) To me, it's a way to get that "ultimate high speed" thrill without worrying about crashing into something. Yes, I know, I know... but for some reason, if I'm STRAPPED into some huge wooden or steel frame, I just don't worry about it because I figure if it's my time to go and involves a roller coaster, it's going to be pretty quick and hopefully painless.

I'm happy spending long stretches of time just staying at home with movies and pizza and video games or whatever, but the person I am with would have to be someone who also has a love (or at least a willingness) to occasionally go on a big (and possibly high-speed) adventure!!!

I'm actually having a SEVERE speed craving right now, seeing as I haven't been on a good coaster in about 2 years... and I FEEL THE NEED... THE NEED FOR SPEED!!!

Carol, I was thinking you and I would be great "Extremist" friends... As in, we'd always be pushing each other to try more and more daring things.

However, I'll leave the bungee jumping to you, beautiful girl!!!

(Jumping off something suspended by nothing but a rope??? In my mind, it may as well be a piece of dental floss. Now THAT'S CRAZY!!!):cool::p
