My thoughts on this brilliant article:
Amen! And it's not just Americans and it's not just Millennials.
This poisonous symptom has been brought about by much of the Western Church being okay with abandoning its core beliefs in Absolute Truth and in God's Word being our absolute written authority, in order to be relevant to the world. An immensely redemptive message of God's great Love for His people, from Creation to the End of Days, becomes a Gospel defined not so much by Jesus and His Amazing Grace, as by Yes-Us and his Meh Grace. The end result is a neutered and useless Gospel, Good News merely rendered Ews.

I found it a bit too negative. We should all get along and tolerate each others views and focus on Jesus' love. Your interpretation of scripture is yours. Mine is mine. And none of us here is the judge. That's the problem with the church. Judge. Judge. Judge. I'm a Christian and I support me.

Kidding aside, It's excellent. Outstanding.

Oh hey! This looks familiar ;)

I actually was going to skip reading this article when I saw it on Facebook, I scrolled past it a couple of times even. And then I figured, eh, might as well. I'm glad I did read it, as it turned out to be a very well timed reminder and encouragement for me.

There have been a heck of a lot of times here recently, online and out here in my real world, that I've felt just...passed by. And kind of unwanted. Because I'm not out there doing what others my age in this area do, and because I don't agree with what so many of them believe, but also because I have tried to do/say/be what's cool and trendy and...well, honestly, it's always a bit pathetic when I do. I'm just never going to be Cool. And reading this article...it just reminded me that Cool isn't even the point, and that so much of what IS popular isn't even Godly and is Not what I should be trying to achieve.

Thanks for sharing this :)

Miss Criss, this is not to say you feel this way...but sometimes the thought of "Am I the only one?" hits us. Guess what? Your response reminds me of several truths. Others do reverence God, He who is Holy. Others do revere Him in their fellowship with Him. Others do recognize that the world and many of its ways have been accepted by those who call themselves Christians.

Your response reveals you have your heart and mind on heaven, on things above, where Christ is.

Thank you for sharing and expressing yourself. It is encouraging.
