Do we only get one chance to post 10 things?

I'm sure we get more chances but I wanna make sure. :p
You can post as much as you want of yourself. lol

I made it 10 because it was a play off of the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. :)

1. I'm a Network Engineer
2. But I didn't want to be one.
3. I wanted to be a musician.
4. But I took IT in college (far from music).
5. So I'm doing IT as a career.
6. But I'm saving up to get a degree in music.
7. Then, my life will change.
8. I have nothing else to say.
9. I got pro skills in whistling.

1. I've been married for 10 years, and we have two kids, a girl and a boy (though not in that order).

2. I've loved reading since the moment I learned how, and I'll read anything I can get my hands on. The books I like, I read over and over and over. There's something to appreciate about every story, whether it's the writing itself, the plot, the dialogue, or even just an idea presented. I love finding that one thing in even the crappiest novels that makes it worth while.

3. My favorite thing to do is improve things- my home, my yard, old junk I find, a blank canvas, anything. I may not have the skill to do everything I'd like to, but if the end result is better or brighter (or more glittery...) than what I started with, it's a success.

4. I hate having the curtains closed. It's too dark and cave-like and I start feeling claustrophobic. I love sitting and looking out the window, I like feeling as though I'm part of what's going on outside even if it's nothing.

5. My motivation and energy levels are completely erratic- I can force myself to get things done, but I never know when I'm going to get a burst of energy and feel like cleaning all day or baking in the middle of the night.

6. I have my own boat. It's tiny. It's a ducky, which is basically like an inflatable canoe/kayak. I've had it for five years, but only used it on the river once. It's one of those things I love doing but forget to make time for.

7. ...that's all I got.

7. i'm right handed.

8. according to my mom, as a toddler, i was deaf in my left ear. it wasn't medically diagnosed. she noticed how i wouldn't respond from that side. she prayed for me, aaaaaand now i probably hear more than i'm supposed to (as in being a nosy rosie. lol jk) :)

Cool thread, Molly!

1. Maybe I can apply to be Melita's assistant, because I was salutatorian of my class (that's not saying much... My class was really, really small.)

2. The valedictorian and I were also voted, "Most Likely To Succeed." At what, I'm still not sure...

3. I've been to Europe (Italy, France, Switzerland) once for 2 weeks, visiting a sibling who was studying there. (After reading chickwithstick's posts about her longing to go to Italy, I'm tempted to host a Car Wash or Pancake Supper or some other fundraiser to help send her there!)

4. I too love to read but only certain things catch my interest. Museums are dangerous for me, as I will read every sign and plaque I come across and be there from opening 'til close.

5. I love artistic expression and photos but can't draw or paint to save my life (or anyone else's, so don't ask! :p)

6. I've been to 5 maximum security prisons (as a visitor, not a tenant.)

7. Nature hates me. I'm kind of built to have bad reactions to most everything it has to offer (the sun--really bad burns; insects--huge welts; pollen, dirt--allergies) but I love going walking in the early morning and watching the sun rise, or in the evening, set.

8. I was adopted from another country, and my parents are of a different race than I am. I have also now lived in 3 very different states in the USA.

9. I like cats (even though I make bad jokes about them), but am allergic. I always kind of dreamed of having two kittens. But seeing as I can't even keep plants alive, I'm thinking this would be a very, very bad idea.

10. I love anything that has water, even though I don't like going to the beach during the day (sunburn and bugs!) But whether it's a fountain, stream, lake, or ocean, you'll find me fixated on the water--especially if I can splash in it like a 5-year-old kid.

1. I have one sibling, but we haven't spoken to each other in eight years.
2. I have a degrees in Biology and Chemistry but I never use either of them.
3. I was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon while defending a co-worker from sexual assault.
4. I love my daughter, Hanna, more than anything else in the world.
5. I met my former fiancé, Jessica, at a community service event and our first real date was a county fair pie eating contest.
6. Jessica beat me at our first date pie eating contest.
7. My daughter named our cat Jellybean because that was one of the few words she knew when we bought her.
8. My worst fear is losing my daughter.
9. I'm deathly afraid of eels.
10. An old woman once called the police on me in a grocery store when I was shopping with Jessica because she thought I was trying to abduct a minor because I was so much bigger than her. (Jess would be older than me by a year but I'm 6'3 245 lbs, she was 5'0 115 lbs)

Yeraza, I'm very interested to hear your testimony :) I had a friend who's going thru what you've gone thru.

I have like kinda shared my testimony, Ive talked about dealing with coming from that life, and the struggles that followed it, since coming to Christ. But Ive never like really shared publicly here (or actually anywhere online I think) about what exactly made me come to God. I havent really done it for two reasons, one being that it would probly end up being really long, and many people would be too unmotivated to read it :p And another, my calling wasnt through the like inspiring story of how God healed someones life, I was called through torment, and when I reached out to God for help, He showed me why I was not truly His child, but a slave to my own desires. Irl, most Christians have taken my testimony really well, actually I made a friend in a Christian consoling session who introduced me to another Christian who went through what I went through, it was way cool. But the very few times Ive shared it online Ive gotten mixed responses. Ive only told a very few people online though, maybe I should work on a thread to post in the testimony forum....

And for youre friend, is this person wanting to come to God? That would be way awesome, its not easy to leave that life, those of us who do fall into that lifestyle believe we have finally gotten the chance to have everything weve wanted, and allow ourselves to believe that it was all we needed to be happy. So letting yourself make that change in perspective, to see that you are only following a desire that will make you feel good for the moment, but will die, its not something that people really want to do. The only way you will even find the way out is with faith in Him, and He will only help us if we seek Him. But those of us caught in that life, were much too busy being guided into some feelgood thing that He is the last thing we are setting our hearts on. I hope that your friend is finding Him :3

I'm reminded of a song by Ugly Kid Joe that says "I hate everything about you." Really cheerful song, that...

He wasn't. And, we've lost contact. Well, more like he was part of the past I had to leave behind. I never had the chance to share the gospel with him. Well, more like because I met him online, in a video game. He's schizophrenic and only confided in me for a few after we've spent time together (and with my ex). Anyway, I don't know if our paths will ever cross, but I've been putting him in my prayer requests, him and a few others for salvation. So, I just wanted to know how, if I'll meet someone like him again, how I can reach out to them ya know?

Thats the hard part about it, the person has to already have the desire somewhere to seek Him. Like I was that way as far back as 3 years old, my mom has stories about me acting "that way" at that age. And I did walk away from Him when I became a teenager, but around 20 I knew I had to reach out to Him, and did, but I didnt leave that lfe behind because I still wanted it, and instead of seeking what God thought of it, I let myself find my own justification for it, and ignored whatever He had to say in order to be blissfully ignorant. So, its not easy, you can ask them if they know Jesus, but because God tells us He does not want us to live that way, the people who have chosen that its what they want, they have decided to make that a personal attack, and see Him as an offense to them. So many of them will not be friendly about it off the bat, they will believe its an attack. My friend who helped bring me to God, all he did was be my friend. We spent years being friends, and he would talk to me about it, and I would listen, but after a bit Id get "offended", and say something foolish :p And he would then just change the subject, and wait for a later day to kindly talk to me about it more. And luckily, when I DID need Him, I knew who to reach out for. So if you ever make friends with a person who lives that life, definitely be kind to them, and be kind about your stance, dont shame them, but kindly tell them that you are a child of God and do believe in His will. And totally be absolutely ready for them to work to lead you away from Him too, they definitely will. So you should be strong in His word. But be kind and welcoming to them, and dont be upset that they refuse Him rudely, because they will. And always be strong on your stance, that you believe in Gods will. They will look for an opening, some way to convince you to agree that God has to be loving enough to accept the sinful part of them theyve embraced. Be loving, but stand firm, because giving them ANY opening on it will onlys encourage them further that they are right. But be kind to them, take every chance to talk about His love, and pray for them often. And hopefully, one day when they truly need Him, they will open up and turn to Him. Thats how it happened to me, and its the only advice I can give you :/ But I do believe this is the best way. Let them know that you love them and care about them, because they are already under the impression that you hate them entirely :p

I hope that wasnt too long :/ And yeah, many wont seek Him, but there are always a few who do, so we should always be ready to share the Gospel :3

1. Some people think I'm mysterious.

2. It's not intentional. Some people in this world are just forced to... live by the ninja code.

3. I never wanted to be a ninja. I wanted to be a circus clown.

4. It's really hard for ninjas to get into clown school.

5. The other ninjas are always mad because I joke around too much.

6. Ninja shoes aren't really that comfortable.

7. The ninja hoods are NOT cool... they totally mess up your hair.

8. Climbing over roofs at night is really sweet until you fall off.

9. The other guys can disappear into a cloud of smoke, but I always start coughing.

10. People always ask if my father was a ninja too. I say, "No, he was Episcopalian."
