Thus says the LORD GOD the ALMIGHTY in Isaiah 51:12 (NLT): "Do not be afraid: “I, yes I am the One who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like grass and disappear?"
Fear only the One on High, for from Him comes your salvation and life. Give all your worries and fears to the Father who will fight on your behalf. Find comfort under His wings and see how He will set a table of honour before your enemies.

Yeah, the ones you really should be afraid of are the felines. =^.^= Humans, not much to fear. No fangs, no agility, no night vision, only a quarter of a feline's running speed and human claws are a joke.

Us mere humans need not add a word to this.....to have an impact on us between the forehead.

This verse is not in context.
We are scared of people, because as children, parents, teachers, adults, brothers, sisters etc. told us off, put us right, warned us what not to do, and what we should be doing. So fear and respect is part of our lives.

The verse is saying, compared to God, the righteous should not fear those who oppose them. If God is standing for you, you need not fear man.

Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults
Isaiah 51:7
