Hello, im new here.

And im struggling with something.
I have this desire to get married, But i have asked God to remove/destroy this desire.
But He still didnt do it....
WHat should i do to destroy it?


I dont want this desire because its causing me health problems like anxiety.depression,suicide thoughs, stomach problems and sleeping problems.


Can you guys pray for me to God to destroy this desire?

Maybe you can pray and post here a word from God, what God told you about this problem i have.

I will pray that God's will be done in your life. There is nothing wrong with having a desire to one day marry your heart's desire. God understands you very well and knows what is in your heart. Welcome to CC.

Sister, we need to keep in mind that often the Lord's will is not the same as our own :).

I prayed that His will will be done in your life, and that you will have wholeness of mind, body and spirit in the name of Jesus, our glorious Savior.

God is not usually in the business of just taking desires away. Jesus didn't pray God would remove temptation, but rather he fought against it.
Clearly, if you are That strongly affected by being single then it shows where your heart is. So even if God removed this desire, it doesn't mean the root problem leaves. You would replace marriage with something else. What God wants is for you to do the Work of figuring out why you think these things will make you fulfilled, instead of Him.
Many times in the bible people asked God to remove things, and usually He did not. Because there was more to be learned and if He gave you the easy way out you'd miss His message.
Perhaps it's time to ask God what He wants, rather than telling Him what you want. You may find these worries begin to disappear when you learn to listen and not always seem your own will.

basically,God gave you eyes to "birth desire". This is why discipline of what you look at is important.

But in your case,you got to realize God also gave you a brain.
The human mind does not,by itself "discipline itself away from any dimension"

IOW,you can't win in your mental battle by depriving things away that are harmful or out of season.

Victory comes through the discipline of "moving to" as opposed to "moving away" from thoughts.

It is said "you can't stop birds from flying overhead,but you can stop them from building a nest in your hair."

Are you born again?

If you are,then jettison your passive approach and get militant by wrapping yourself in the word.(God gave you the power already that you ask for him to provide. It is your bible and the HS)

If you are not,most of the guys here can help,but hopefully one of the women will help you.
(women are the best for soul winning)

You can with anxiety,depression,suicide,stomach problems.

Those are also companions of stress. The psalms are the medicine for stress.

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I meant that He might want you to have a husband. He wants you to have freedom in Him though, definitely. He might want you to see something else through this normal desire for a husband, even if it's just "be compassionate for others who go through struggles" :).

May the Lord give you the desires to love him and wanna know him and be with him so that when the time is right, your right one will come. I pray for strength and wisdom and a clean mind, body and spirit.

Give it to the Lord, and leave it there. When you struggle with it, give it again. And keep doing so. Ask the Lord to hold on to the desire until He is ready to fulfill it. Also, ask Him to work in you, that you would be fully ready for His timing. Ask Him to fill you with His peace and contentment in place of the desires. If there are sinful thoughts mixed up in this, confess them to the Lord and ask Him to set you free from them.

This is one desire of many that you will likely struggle with in your life, though, as others have stated, the desire to marry is not, in itself, bad. I would suggest that you find an older, seasoned Christian woman with whom you would feel safe discussing this issue.
