This is sort of a spinoff of the 'what did you just eat' thread. Just tell us what you bought. It doesn't really matter if you bought it an hour ago or a month ago, just post it! :D Extra points for pics! :)

(This thread is for entertainment purposes only and not is not a substitute for finding a traditional partner)

Ok I'll go first:

Today I visited dollar tree (one of my favorite stores!) and bought some plastic containers to help me organize some stuff in the garage. I also went to the DMV and renewed my drivers license (it cost me $33). Still passed my eye exam without glasses or contacts, yay!!

I can't buy nothing, I'm flat broke.

When I get paid I'm going to a little Mennonite store and buying some havarti cheese. And some colby. And a bit of amish butter cheese. And some sesame sticks. And some raw (unroasted) brazil nuts.

This afternoon we just paid $3700.00 worth of car repairs! UGH! It's a good thing we are planning on a very small Christmas this year.

Ouch! So sorry. I know how that feels. I had to pay for a rebuilt transmission and new brakes about a month ago.

Yesterday I bought a 200 minute TracFone card. With double minutes and 40 bonus minutes using a promo card I got 440 minutes. Also, received a 10% employee discount so it was not a bad deal.

Today, I bought a big steaming bowl of pho. :D The weather cooled off enough to where it sounded good - and oh was it.

This is my latest purchase that's not food-related.

And here's my review of said book.

The Secrets of Ancient Man is the next book in the Genius of Ancient Man series. Herein, the team do an excellent job of creating a systematic history of Post-Flood mankind, beginning with their rebellion at Babel, where they came together to make a name for themselves (through seeking knowledge, power and purpose apart from their Creator). It helps to make sense of the big picture of world history. A history that includes the very same anti-God patterns all the way from Sumer (B.C. 2350-2300) through to Nan Madol (A.D. 1200-600).

Although I found this book relatively brief, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only concerns were that, once again, Australasia wasn't included. Also, several photos of archaeological sites were rather unremarkable and obtuse in their purpose. I highly recommend The Secrets of Ancient Man to everyone. There are few books like it. Here's hoping there are more to come.

I have one of those fujifilm instant cameras that prints little pictures...not a Polaroid brand but does the same thing. I'm not sure if old school Polaroid film is sold anywhere physically, but I've seen Polaroid film sold for their new digital/instant combination cameras (I've heard the image quality isn't that good on this type of camera, seems like it's better to have just instant or just digital)

some of their phones now have triple minutes....I still have the double minute phone, but I can't believe the triple minute ones

My last purchase was the book "Opening Moves" by Stephen James

That's interesting. I didn't think anyone was currently making an instant camera. And yeah, polaroid quality was always lacking.
