Ask you anything... hmm...

Why did you choose SpySat1 for your nick?
It was two Israeli - Labanese wars ago. I was monitoring the live feeds of the tank columns on the ground and needed a few nicknames to use on the site I was monitoring. So spur of the moment I just decided on SpySat1, SpySat2, SpySat3, etc... A little while later I signed up for CC, needed a nickname, and since that was the last one I used, decided to just keep rolling with it. (Now I even use it for Steam online stuff. If ya ever wanna group up, look me up.)

Why did you refer to data mining in the "Your phone" thread?
Because threads like that on forums are used for data mining (to get data from the masses to then use to either make decisions based off of, sell the information, or just take a quick temperature gauge of the user base.) It happens all the time and the data gathered is VERY useful. And to many parties, VERY valuable.

Are you a conspiracy theorist? Ooooh, do you have a tin foil hat?
I do have theories about things that sometimes go against the main stream of consciousness (but then again, who doesn't?) I have fashioned quite a few tinfoil hats in my time, the most recent being about 2 months ago. The best one I ever made, I still have. Proudly displayed upon my book shelf.

(It goes downhill from here.........)
My body is ready.

Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?
No they did not. I'm like 99.9% sure of that. Can you imagine 800 years after the creation of Adam... I bet his great great great grand kids would travel for miles just to marvel at his lack of belly button, and hear the stories from before the fall. That's the type of stuff I like to think about.

Was dead reckoning ever alive?
Dead Reckoning is always a prediction of where we'll be in the future based off of where we are now, where we're going and any currents trying to take us somewhere else. You'd have to define what you mean by alive. (Active? then maybe.) (Not Dead? Well, that could be anything.) That's a hard one to define... "Alive" It's one of those "I know it when I see it." sort of definitions.

What's the french word for "bouquet?"
"bouquet" is an Old French word, with its root in "Bos", or "Wood". Meaning a "Clump of Trees" (Clump of wood.) (My Google-Fu is strong.)

How do you tell if bagpipes are in tune?
440 Hz is the standard... though there are MANY who would argue for 432 Hz.

How do you tell when buttermilk goes bad?
Depends on what you mean by "bad". It may still be consumable after a long time, but it will lose a lot of its desired flavor for cooking and consumption. It won't kill you if that's what you're asking.

Okay I'm through now. =^.^=
Okay! Thanks for playing!

Actually "dead reckoning" was originally "ded reckoning," short for "deduced reckoning." Basically the same as making an educated guess, or (for example) traveling in the general direction of where you think your objective lies.

I knew all those answers - except for the belly button one, I wasn't around back then - but the questions are fun to ask.
