Thanks for sharing, everyone. In between shoveling two feet of snow and watching the NFL conference championships, I've been pretty busy. Just taking a quick break from shoveling to thank you for responding. Have to get back to shoveling for now but look forward to listening to the songs that have been shared. God bless!

Oooh I can't believe forgot about this song. Okay maybe there is a song that be in my all time favorites after all. Singring and the Glass Guitar by Utopia (Todd Rundgren project band). Lol when I was little my carnal pops would have vinyl night now and then and would put this one on and me and my lil sister always loved this song. Forrealz if I were rich I'd try to make a movie out of this song, it's just so perfect. Just the opening part blows me away.

"This is an electrified fairytale. If you've never heard of an electrified fairytale just picture little fairies with wee tiny electric guitars"

"Brave adventurers warriors and freemen
conquer self and so in the end save us all.
Conquer earth and wind, conquer fire and water.
Brave adventurers come and save us all.
And if you fail to win the keys, harmony is dying. Trapped away forever in a glass guitar.
And if you listen with your heart you can hear it crying, "free me from my crystal prison in this glass guitar."

Why do FreeBird and Stairway to Heaven seem like default answers?

Lol probably cause they are pretty boss songs. Used to have the entire Led Zep collection before I sold all my cds. Stairway is great song, as is Led Zep 4 album, but Houses of the Holy always be my favorite album by them. One of my favorite all time albums all together, it's just masterful from start to finish. Really that's what sets the good bands apart from the great bands in my opinion is if they can produce an album that is flawless from start to finish.

Do you like the original [Bob Dylan] version?
I do, I listen to quite a bit of Dylan...

But I think Jimi's version is much better, and indeed I would go so far to say that it is probably the best cover version of any song ever done!
