I hang around in the singles forum because there are people there to chat with who don't try to preach their doctrine all the time.

Poor confused girl. Don't you realize beating you with doctrine till you're bloody is "loving you?"

That's long enough. He doesn't even insult women. If I lived around the corner I had already proposed to him.

As in all things involving people, you can't look at the crowd, you have to look at individuals.

Tourist beat me to it.

I was going to post, "Ask JesusLives and Tourist..."

I've been on this site since 2009 and have seen countless members come and go. I can think of about 5 couples who got married and at least 10-15 (couples, not just individuals) who dated.

In at least 2 of the marriages I knew of, they consisted of people who literally lived on other sides of the world (Asia and the USA; Canada and New Zealand.) And I myself have made some terrific Godly friendships online as well--a few of whom I've even met in person.

So yes, it definitely does happen.

*whispers back* And sometimes, God is even behind it.

P.S. Tx, why are we whispering?

P.S. I'm also someone who is the LAST person to know what's going on and I'm not here 24/7 as some users are able to be, so you can imagine how many more people have dated/married from this site that I never even knew or heard about.

In a way, it literally happens all the time.

Heh, heh...

Maybe these people are taking Hebrews 9:22 literally: "Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins."

Funny thing is... these people tear off every limb, one-by-one, and they'll still say you aren't forgiven and are obviously going to hell.

And then they supposedly lament over how no one comes to Christ. *double facepalm*

Oh, don't get me wrong. Plenty of us act like we hate each other. But, somehow, we have convinced ourselves that is Christianity.

Hahaha..... this amused me greatly. :p

You can relax a bit... you're in Singles now.
There are still things you could say to get your head bit off, but the danger is far more removed.

Just don't put up a quasi-sounding personal ad, write up a mass cattle call for potential dates to give you a holler, or try say that this is a dating site...

And your chances of being blasted go down about 75%.

(I tend to hover within the remaining 25% myself. :D)

Does it happen? Sure. That's not what most of us are here for though. If you are here to find a spouse, good luck.

If you are here to preach against finding a spouse online... well... that's not what most of us are here for either.
