Hmmm... Be careful.

Deporrow: When you find a list of obscure sorrows and reading it makes you aware of so many sorrows you never knew existed that you wind up being depressed.

Belated OP hindsight warning: this site causes depression you didn't know you had.

Excuse me while I go make tea and listen to the Reichenbach Fall soundtrack and weep convulsively into a soft blanket.

Aww, don't be sad lady Crosstweed.

Hmm, is it strange that rather than depressing me this site actually somewhat tickles my humor?

Not exactly... I got a good laugh out of gnasche, mostly because it's true.

We need a word for the conflicting feeling you experience when you desperately need to blow your nose, but your skin is too raw.

I usually like big words but these don't have a ring to them. I prefer unneccessarily long scientific names..

sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim anyone??

anyone??

How about epigallocatechin gallate?? :rolleyes:

At one time, I thought I knew English.

Then I read this thread...

And now, I'm having second thoughts.

xD Don't feel bad... tbh, knowing Latin, Greek, and German would be more useful in this thread.

Thx for the rep! xD

Semper ubi sub ubi.
Lol no problem.

For the sake of disclosure to the forum, told myself I'd give a rep point to whoever seemed to get the Eligo Nares joke (translates to (Choose) Pick Noses lol). Lol though to be honest, don't know much latin, but google translate seems good enough, and most of it is easy enough to figure out. I only have to look up ubi for this one lol.

Mine actually makes sense too. :(

Nasal = nose
epidermitial = epidermis = skin
radiitus = painful burn

at least that what I want them to mean. :p

This has been great, crosstweed.
I just read all 36 posts, and liked everyone.
And I honestly did, too.

And then I realized I have absolutely nothing witty
or worthwhile to contribute to the thread, and I'm feeling ..... Underdeprebarrassed.
(Inadequate, sad, and ashamed)

How to Deal With People Who Cut in Line

^^^^The cartoons are funny enough but some of the stories/comments are better

anthrop-cis-queue-dict-anim-clam-furi - The rage of someone cutting you in line (queue) that makes you speak out in anger/rage.

anthrop= man
cis- cuts
queue- no root word for line so just went with queue
dict - to speak
anim - emotion
clam - to cry out
furi- anger
