My dear friends, keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for the LORD GOD has said, “I will never fail you nor forsake you.” Hence we can confidently say,
“The LORD is my helper,
I will not be afraid;
what can man do to me?”

For some reason I'm reminded of a song from a Willy Wonka movie - the old movie, not the new one with a creepy Wonka.

"Don't
Care
How
I want it now!"

I do like the message from the Apostle Paul concerning this, but I do remember one time when I was talking with someone about this and he said................

"You ever seen a happy homeless person?"

I've seen a few of them. Also seen a few rich people who were crabby.

But then I've seen happy rich people and grumpy hobos. Happiness doesn't seem to have anything to do with money and stuff.

That's what I used to tell myself all the time. It works when you're young and still have your health and plenty of years ahead to play catch-up when you finally realize that not having much money is a huge mistake. When you see your friends buying homes, getting married and having kids while you yourself can't afford any of those things. And these days one income isn't enough unless you're making close to a six figure salary or live in a very inexpensive part of the country..
