I have multiple friends who happen to be starting out in the medical field right now, and I have to say spunkycat is right. It is a tough, competitive field to get started in. That's not negativity, that's just reality.
Thank you Lynx for your comment.

I am just letting others know what it is like in the medical field.

From what I have heard there are much more people getting nursing degrees versus medical degrees. But there are only so many jobs for nurses to go around.

I have applied for several jobs at different hospitals. You are asked to work rotating shifts. You could work an 8 hour shift or longer at a hospital. Employees who do not work rotating shifts have more experience and seniority. A niece of mine who was born in 1989 graduated with a nursing degree, passed the nursing board exam, and the only nursing job she could find at a hospital where she lives that she is qualified for is part-time. She had to find a job at one of the big box stores to make ends meet.

It does not matter whether or not you are a Christian. It is still the same.

Honestly seek the answer from God. People are fickle and have many reasons.. Only He can accurately answer you.
Don't short change yourself by taking the easy route and asking people..

Y'all need to come to Canada... I don't know any nurses who can't find work here. The pay is good, though the hours are long; 12-hour shifts are the norm. I don't know about doctors; I think there is plenty of work if they are willing to live in a smaller centre.

Any field is hard to get into and here where we live there are plenty of jobs in Nursing. And yes they are rotating shifts and some people don't mind that type of work. Just because it doesn't sit well with you doesn't mean that is the same for everyone.

The niece's life is the niece's life. None of us get to make her decisions for her and the continued commenting on it is becoming tiresome. That wasn't even the point of this thread. Young people have the right to make their own decision and mistakes the same as the rest of us have; it's not like there's ever going to be a guaranteed perfect and easy way.

Aren't you just full of negativity? How do you go through life with all of it? God never said life was going to be easy.

I was about to say something really catty here, but I will refrain. Just please keep in mind that not everybody is as perfect as you.

True that. Also we have been derailing this thread. Apologies to the OP.

Okay I will be more direct. Where do you get off castigating somebody for saying a job is hard?

And you were right about your private message. The title certainly does speak for itself.

I honestly didn't think that in posting this I'd find so much negativity and have other people argue with each other on other things that weren't about my questions.

She returns!

Howdy spiritleadme23. I was afraid we had scared you away. Sorry about the thread derailing. It happens a lot here, and there's nothing really you can do about it. All you can do is scan the page for the posts that actually address the issue you are talking about and reply to them, and let the rest of the people argue back and forth about whatever they are arguing about.

Hang in there:/ I think online dating is really it's own culture. I am not familiar personally but am beginning to explore. I know it is hard to be lonely at any age:( I am alone again and it hurts. If I could say something to my younger self I would say " I know it hurts and you are afraid. You can't even imagine what could be before you. Please, please trust God."
