>u> As a matter of fact, I had a lovely time the other day smashing the hopes and dreams/OTP of one of those friends who is eternally composing bad matches in her head and who kept offering me "helpful" comments about a certain bloke with whom I am completely incompatible.

My favorite bad match of hers was when she hinted to one of my other friends that she would be a very good match with one of the guys at my church... until this friend amusedly informed her that she was 3rd cousins with that particular fellow and that in spite of his looking much older he was in fact only 16 years of age.

You would think she would have learned her lesson, but no.
THAT'S HILARIOUS!!! ... some people never learn ... I am tangible proof of that :D

I'm pretty good at being the third or fifth wheel. I don't have a problem with it, because my said friends are the ones who invite me over or out. I would never want to be the unwelcome guest. But that skit on the previous page still cracks me up!
Having friends that aren't embarrassed to be seen publicly with you is one up on me :D

On a date, you can go to a restaurant and no, it doesn't have to be fancy. Another place you can go to is the park where you and the person you're on a date with can take a walk and get the chance to know each other, or do something such as going to Dave & Busters where you get to play games and have dinner at the same time. As far as who pays for the date, it depends, it's either you split the check or the guy pays.
