I'm going to guess that the ball goes for a dime. It seems to easy so I'm guessing that I am in the wrong.

Probably, since the most popular guess seems to be half that amount.

In the kingdom of CC, the king did not allow any citizen to visit the world outside. Also only a person with proper paperwork was allowed to enter or he was sent back. A wooden bridge was what connected the kingdom to the world. The king had appointed a sharpshooter who would check every five minutes on the bridge. After checking, he would go back to his hut and return exactly after five minutes again. The bridge took 9 minutes to cross.

A merchant was able to escape the kingdom without harming the shooter.

How ?

The merchant sold something useful, roller skates, jet packs, scuba gear, wearable mirrors or some other such thing that let him move faster than the 9 minute time limit or take an alternative route that was considered impossible. Alternatively maybe he just walked backwards across the bridge so the shooter thought he was coming instead of going when he saw him. Or maybe we can stretch the definition of harm and say that he tied up the shooter (I don't think being tied up for a short time is necessarily harmful). And then of course there's always bribery.

(I'm sure none of those answers are right, but hopefully they dissuade anyone who thinks they're going to keep me in a kingdom with only one bridge leading out).

It is impossible to put your left shoe on first. Why?
