There are quite a few divorced Christian members on the forums. Perhaps a few will join you on this thread.

Divorced 11 years, was married almost 27. Circumstances that made it better for the children if they had no contact with their father. Broke my heart to do it, I had every intention to be married till death do us part. No matter how long you're married sometimes you never know them well enough

I know this is meant as a compliment, and what I am saying is not a reflection of her picture, but someone's appearance really shouldn't be the basis of whether they will be single long or should be divorced long. There is so much more to it than that.

Divorced twice. First one was over after two weeks, I stayed two months. Total time married, 6 months. Second one, we lived together for two months then married. We stayed together for three years, separated for about a year then divorced. Total time in that one was 4 years. Not exactly the biblical standard, smh......

You'll get no judgement from me. I'm struggling with being a divorcee myself. Just never imagined that this would be my reality.

Divorced and remarried. The first marriage should have never happened. I went to the pastor the day before the wedding to call it off. He blew happy smoke up my rump until he talked me into going thru with it. If I ever see that man again I'm going to punch him.

Thank you. I rely 100% on forgiveness. It's actually rather comforting know there's only one thing God wont forgive and it isn't divorce, phew.......

You got that right! I personally struggle with guilt, but in my heart I know God's grace extends to me

Also divorced. As to the guilt, I owned what I did wrong. I think that's what is required of us.
