This thread is about things/skills you can't do right now, but wish you could.

Examples: swimming, speaking another language, drawing, singing, etc...

It can be something you plan on doing in the future or something you just can't do for one reason or another..

I'll start...

I wish I could be a pilot. I always wished it but I could never afford the lessons. I ended up with pinched nerves anyway from a job I used to do so I probably couldn't have been a pilot either way...

I also wish I could sing like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith...

I can do and frequently do all the things I want to do... except one. I wish I could draw. Or paint, or use a computer to make a picture, or in some way make something that looks like the picture I have in my mind. I can't draw worth beans.

Not a major thing though. I have music, which is much more important to me.

Several things (I daydream a lot :p )

I too wish I could draw properly, rather than preschool level :p

I want to learn to speak Gaelic, but as I know none that speak it, it's a bit pointless, so I doubt I'll learn more than a few phrases.

I want to go hang-gliding / paragliding , surfing , skydiving, scuba-diving ...

now... how come spellcheck says hang-gliding and paragliding, and skydiving and scuba-diving? You guys have a weird language :p :D

Let's get the Jesus Juke out of the way now so we can enjoy the rest of the thread.

You shouldn't be focusing on what you can't do. You should be doing what you can for God! God gave you your abilities and expects you to use them for His glory, and you're wasting time talking about what you wish you could do. Shame on you all!

There, that's out of the way.

I have a mild wish that I could do basic car maintenance stuff. But apparently it's not a strong enough desire to prompt me to study up on it. Besides, they make cars these days that are specifically designed to require the dealership's service for simple things like changing oil, battery or spark plugs. Heard of one car that you have to take the front right tire off to get to the battery... really? So it's probably not worth it.

I wish I could be naturally in tune my ears with my voice so I could hear myself sing and therefore but not be out i
Of tune people who are naturally like that don't have to fight to stay in tune when I sing from my heart I don't want to worried about performing I don't believe you have to sing great to sing to the Lord hence why I sing to the Lord on this site but obviously I let ppl know I don't sing well or great but I have a OK voice for me my a
Singing is healing and I'm a worshipper but at the same I respect ppl too .

Now. . into language learning I wish I of sanguine temperament because they seem to learn quicker and a lot quicker. Fluency is quicker than mine and like introverts myself. I highly regard and admire Alex Harris in YouTube who speaks like hes fluent in Cantonose I take my hat of to this sanguine UK white boy who exhibits the discipline of a quick learner an extrovert.

My sling shooting is much better something's we wish we could do but will get better soon. My sling shooting success with better aim is attributed to the technique of pincing the bullets in this pouch I getting not quite there with the target but its a lot better - cheap kids one still lots of fun.

Afford to go to College for Medicine and specialize in Anesthesiology. I always wanted to be a Doctor. I am almost 40 and really I shouldn't let that stop me. The oldest person to graduate medical school was 95. I am a Medical professional however its not really what I am passionate about it. I need to stop toying around with the notion of it and just get on with it. Its not the money that I would earn. I just enjoy helping people.

I also would like a dance partner to learn Ball Room/Latin/Salsa and other dances.

;)

I wish I could sing...
like Bonnie Raitt
like Whitney Houston
like Aretha
like Annie Lennox
like Josh Stone
like Janis Joplin
like Chrissie Hines
even like Willie Nelson just as long as I could sing.

I wish I had mad housekeeping skills like Martha Stewart, but I'd be happy if I had the skills of Erma Bombeck.

I wish I had the strength of the Hulk.

I wish we could find a large rancher in South Philly, and then buy it without needing another mortgage.

I wish I could quit smoking.

I wish the number one reason people give me for how to quit helped me in any way. (The number one reason is, "I could do it, so you can do it." I keep waiting for a rocket scientist to tell me the same thing about becoming a rocket scientist.)

I'm trying hard to think of something. There are a lot of things I wish I could do better, but I also know that I probably could if I cared enough to really try. Most things, if I ever wanted to do them, I just did.
