If you are friends with someone of the opposite sex, but you secretly want to date that person, exactly what are the 2 of you considered to be?

My now bf and I were friends at first and then he told me one day that he has feelings for me and here we are. I guess I could have said no to dating him and then I wonder if that would have changed our friendship. Hmmmm...

...barely even friends, then somebody bends, unexpectedly... That's a really good song lol

My gf was dating me for two months before I even knew we were together.
We still can't agree on a start date.:p

Why keep it a secret? Why not tell the person? :)

I agree with this one.

What is going on is that a female friend of my husband ran into a male friend of hers a couple of months ago whom she lost contact with. According to her, he has been hurt in the past dating wise by other females. She has always wanted to date him, but he has not shown any interest in dating her.

So she has been visiting with him ever since she ran into him a couple of months ago. She wants to slowly convince him to want to date her. She refers to him as her friend. He has no idea that she wants to date him. She will not tell him that because she does not want to loose him as a friend. She said that she would be happy to just be his friend if he does not want to date her.

That is how all Disney movies should end..
That's the reality. Have you ever seen the Saturday Night Live Real Housewives of Disney skit? I don't think I should post it here, but it's on You Tube, it's hysterical.

"She wants to slowly convince him to want to date her". Sounds legit. Nothing could go wrong with that. Long term coercion can't fail.
