But seriously. I like being called 'brother' by brothers and sisters in Christ.
CJ or Tintin by my friends.
Christian by everyone.
Being called 'Sir' weirds me out though. It just doesn't suit me. Much too formal.

I'm happy with my name, once someone is introduced to me. Even among fellow believers I am not a fan of "brother" as it tends to formalize what should be a growing family relationship - we are after all, family in Christ. My name has a job, put it to work.

I do understand that in certain settings there is an appropriate level of decorum. So employees may call me "Mr" or "sir." A young man may refer to his new girlfriends, ex-rugby star dad as "sir" or even "milord" (depending on his "fear-o-meter"). The girls father may draw a quizzical look from the lad as he calls the youngster "your dieness." Picture a behemoth blocking the front door (and a great deal of daylight) with a skillet being tossed to and fro from one dinner size plate hand to another. Just saying...

McCJ? As in, McCivilian Jeep?
Erm, sure, whatever floats your boat bro. I ain't judging, but that name is a bit of a stretch for you.

Oh yeah, I am okay with bro but brother.. uhhh.. it's a but weird. The only place where brother sounds acceptable is "Amen, brother".

I address my girlfriend's dad as Mr. In my culture, it is unacceptable to call parents by their first names.

Nah. CJ is my nickname. It uses the first letter of my Christian name and of my surname. Your suggestion was funny but not very practical. ;)

I don't care what you call me, just call me when it's dinner time. :D

I don't care about Mr. or Sir or all that stuff. Just call me Isaac, or Lynx on the forum. I don't mind people calling me Sir or Mr. or whatever, but I don't really notice if they don't.

Tiger still works!
My memory just failed (I'm getting old).
Yay! And no worries about the memory, I've got a horrible one too. You should see when someone tries to log mine, I look like a deer in a headlight lol

Bleh, I dont like all these "sirs" and junk, ick.

My name is always good, people can call me that : p

If their a friend and they just call everyone they know "man" then thats fine too : p

I said in the other thread how I avoid gendered terms (unless necessary), I never really understood the reason for having them in every sentence we say to people : p Ill say he and she to describe someone (based on their gender obviously) but other than that I dont feel its super important to point out their gender : p
