I thought it was a good thread title. Yes, praise the Lord. :)
Thank you I mean what's wrong with saying praise the lord?? The devil is a liar I'm going to keep saying praise the lord.

I think folks thought it would be a thread praising the Lord and then they came and saw content was different than praising the Lord...

But I have a praise.... I had a breast biopsy this week and the results were benign so I praise the Lord for that. So you see your thread now does have a praise to fit the title you used as a greeting.

God bless you and carry on with the regular scheduled programing....

Why is it hard for a Christian women to find a saved sanctified filled with the Holy Ghost man?
I think most single Christians wonder where to find an authenticly godly spouse. Often people have a disconnect between what they say they are looking for as an ideal and what directs them according to physical attraction. What draws you to someone in the first place? (And when I say "you" I mean that as everyone). Do we really let ourselves meet the person first or does shopping with our eyes rule people out before the Spirit gets a chance to testify on their behalf? Does appearance come into the equation? Of course it does but I also find that it is changeable. I remember a rather meek seeming fellow whom I knew years ago in a college and career church group . He was unremarkable in appearance and build. As I got to know him he had a twinkle in his eyes, a great smile, a wonderful dry sense of humour and then we heard him share. He was so lit with a deep love of God and passion for the unreached that we were speechless. He drew people to him because of his love of God. Just based on first looks he was incredibly forgettable. As we knew him better he became really attractive.
I would say that we have to temper the eyes with the Spirit. If the word "hot" is in the first line of your "what I need in a mate" list then your eyes are shouting over what we need to hear/see to discern a spouse with a heart for God. Yes there are exceptions but this is my two cents (or here in Canada it would be a nickel as the penny is gone).

Well I guess I'll just sit over here and praise the Lord that he's kept me from bad relationships and scummy guys. And double praise because I have been blessed to know some truly godly and awesome guys who even if they haven't been marriage material for me have been a huge support and encouragement.
