Without knowing your age it's hard to say. If you're younger than 18, "Don't bother looking for a guy right now." If you're between 18 and 30, "Learn to live life and enjoy it without thinking you have to have a partner, then you'll be in good shape to find a guy." If you're older than 30... "Find a nice cat or five."

All ages are approximate and one of the answers might have been slightly tongue-in-cheek. :p

Well. If you are praying to God. Then you are not alone. Who else to be with when there is no one at your side. Sometimes its good to be on you're own that way you can get closer to the one who made you. And have a personal relationship with him. Never say you are hopeless. That way you are not showing how much you trust God in your situation. And as the saying goes. There is hope in hopeless. Just take the less off hopeless and add more God. Then he will show you his wisdom and answer to your prayers. God bless.

1 Peter 5:7 - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Deuteronomy 31:8 - And the LORD, he [it is] that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

It gets better. You won't always feel so lost and lonely. The worst of it will pass. I know it doesn't feel like it, but just keep reassuring yourself of that. These are emotions, and emotions are temporary. They ebb and flow. God is constant, and he will bring you joy. Cling to him right now.

Been feeling the same way lately, single for a couple months now and all my friends have coupled up. It is really hard I'm in the same boat you are just clinging to God praying for earthly healing and someone to talk to. It's hard but remember everything happens for a reason and things will happen on his time just keep praying and know you aren't alone in this feeling and that God is with you even if you don't see your prayers answered right away

Loneliness is such a tricky emotion. It's uncomfortable at best, downright painful at worst. You are in an especially tough place as you have just recently let go of a relationship, and so many things are fresh for you right now. God is your anchor and can see you through anything, hold on to this. There is also pressure from society to be in a relationship, etc. Dig deep and draw close to God is my only advice - pray that He will fill your life and bless it through work, volunteering (perhaps?), friends, family, etc etc.

Welcome, fellow Canuck!
As others have written, loneliness is temporary. Take this precious time in your life to connect more deeply with God (first and faraway foremost), with family and non-romantic friends, and with yourself. Despite what our culture seems to teach, we are not defined by our romantic relationships. Figure out what (if any) parts of you were suppressed during the relationship, and what you can learn from the past to make the next one better and more successful.

This is also a great time to create a bucket list, or knock a few things off one. :)

Hi, AshBerry. How are you today? I think it would be a good idea if you can keep yourself busy – try reading some encouraging books, pick a hobby, meet new friends. This might help you shift your focus. I really hope you will feel better soon. I will be praying for you. May God bless and encourage you, sister! Hugs!

I just shook off that feeling tonight...been building up for the last month. There was an online forum I was going to that me and some male friends were getting the cold treatment from the gals. We made light of it tonight, one of them was real tight with me for a good while, then she just started ignoring me. And then criticized a new girl I was talking too, because she was talking to the guys and not the girls. My friend sort of got an apology, but I basically got made fun of and laughed at. So I'm done there...took me a while to settle down, as I'd just gotten home from a long trip. People never fail to amaze me sometimes, how crass they can be and not even care. Glad I'm on here tonight!
