I usually end up parking in the back of the lot. I am a nervous driver and I like to avoid busy areas.

I do that anyway, not because I avoid busy areas I do it so I can get more exercise in, it's healthier that way. Now if I have my nephew or its pouring down rain that's a different story......

I just park wherever the first semi-close open spot is. It doesn't bother me to walk a little further if I have to though.

Depends. At Wal-Mart I do a quick survey when I drive across the lot and take the closest spot I can immediately see. I don't drive around ten minutes trying to find a better one.

At church I park out back. Mostly because I'm still young and have no trouble walking and I know some elders who do have trouble walking. Also if it rains I can run. Most of my peers don't even run anymore, much less those older than I. If I'm visiting a different church I'll probably park further from the building too, for the same reason.

NOTA BIEN: There is actually an app for this. It's called a self driving car. ;)

I circle like a vulture looking for a good spot if I must park far away then my second spot of choice is a shady one as I am in Florida and it's hot down here most of the time... I have dubbed my daughter the parking fairy as it seems a prime spot is always available if she is in the car....lol

The farther away the better, that way, I can't hit anyone else. I get a little annoyed when riding with someone else and they circle for a while. A little walking is fine. If it is pouring down rain, that is different.

I voted for all of them since I don't pay attention while I'm driving.

I park around the corners of the building away from other cars, usually the sides/back of stores are free/open and easier to push a cart towards.....Otherwise I park on side curbs or in parking lots at least 10 cars far away from others for easy in/out and avoid idiots decking my car with their sucky parking skills..lol..

I never park on top of other humans.

That's my only rule.

Busy parking lots don't scare me. Having to parallel park used to scare me but since my ex sis in law used to live downtown I've had plenty of practice parallel parking - it's not so intimidating anymore. I'm actually kinda good at it, now.

In the complex where I live there are two spaces in front of each door. I have one car, and I don't know how many times I have come home and somebody is parked in my spaces that don't even live in my building. Drives me crazy. Or visitors come and whose space do they choose? Mine. I don't know if it just bugs me that much personally but it seems like I must have prime space where my door is. One visitor was in a building on the other side of our lot and parked in my space and didn't move his vehicle for 3 1/2 weeks. My kids keep telling me to let it go, but for some reason I just feel so territorial about that.

Did u notify the management or anyone about the guy who was there for 3.5 weeks? He should have gotten towed.

It all depends on what I'm driving and who is riding with me.

Most of the time I'm driving my truck in which case I tend to park farther out just because I'm less likely to get a moron parking so close that I can't get my door open without hitting them however, if my wife is along I can park right up front since she is handicapped. If I'm driving my wife's car I tend to park closer regardless just because I don't have to worry so much about squeezing into a space.
