It's that time of year when Santa is checking lists twice, prepping the sleigh, and taking selfies with me at the mall. I told him it's going to be skim milk and Keebler elf cookies this year, but apparently there's some kind of rivalry between the Keebler elves and the North Pole elves, and it's gotten kind of ugly, so Oreos it is.

Anyway, I thought of this thread last year and didn't do it... and it's probably now or never, so here it is.

1. If you could write a letter to Santa, what is one thing you would ask for this year?
2. If you could write a letter to Santa for your 5 year old self, what is one thing you would ask for for them?
3. If your 5 year old self could write a letter to Santa for you, what is one thing they would ask for for you?

If Santa makes you uncomfy, you can say what you would ask/pray to God for them, etc.

P.S. I know Santa isn't real, but the mall Santa used to be my neighbor and he was mysteriously never home on Christmas Eve. How do you explain that? idk...

Aw, only one thing? I could think of a ton of things to ask for : p

Well, Ive always wanted a Sega Dreamcast, and never had one. I really dont even play video games that often and it would probly just be a waste of space, but Id ask for that with a copy of Skies of Arcadia cuz its my favorite game (and is also crazy expensive).

If I could pick one thing for my five year old self, well Im a bass guitarist, but I didnt start playing the bass guitar until like a week before I was 21. Back then I was all about the violin. If I could get one thing for my 5 year old self, it would be an acoustic bass guitar, that way I could have started alot earlier. Imagine how much better Id be if I had started at five, haha.
(Also I realized I just wrote that my five year old self was into violin, which didnt happen until like five years after that : p I really have no idea what my five year old self was into at the time : p)

And what would my five year old self ask for current me? I really have no idea : p At the time (1994) pro wrestling was huge, and my brothers, dad and I watched WCW every monday night. Power Rangers were pretty popular too, and I really liked the green ranger back then. Im sure that whatever I asked for would be reflected by the things I liked at the time, which would be awesome actually, as I would totally love to get some toys based on things that were cool when I was a kid, haha : p

Starting at five... you'd be crazy good now. And 90s toys are a top-notch request.

Excellent requests. Especially that google stock request.

My letters to Santa never made it because some nosy person kept making smart remarks...

Bill Watterson had a lot to say about Calvin and Santa...
Love Calvin and Hobbes. This is my favorite of the bunch:

I guess I have to answer my own questions.

1. If you could write a letter to Santa, what is one thing you would ask for this year?

A new tattoo, but without the process of getting it. Let me just snap my fingers and it's there.

2. If you could write a letter to Santa for your 5 year old self, what is one thing you would ask for for them?

A better haircut. Just sneak some elves in on Christmas Eve and cut it while he's sleeping. Thanks.

3. If your 5 year old self could write a letter to Santa for you, what is one thing they would ask for for you?

A mirror that shows himself as my reflection.
