Wait! There's an Athens in Alabama?
23 States have a place called Athens. Canada has one too. It's got a classy feel going for it that people dream fits their town.

I have always wanted to start my own business but it's stressful at the beginning and I'm busy at work.
To start a business, the first thing you need to learn is how to work it. (Marketing, branding, bookkeeping, taxes, time-management, as well as actually doing what you want to do for money.) So make 2017 the year you learn how to start your own business. (The only part of starting a business that let's you keep your butt on the couch. lol)

I'll see if I can work that in there somewhere, but I may have to go with something more traditional like better health to be acceptable to the masses.
I suspect, if you do the search for where to put the articles first, you'll find publishers that prefer "healthierness." People can convince me into being better about my health with words like "healthierness" more than if they talk about low-glycemic. lol

To not let people judge me. To not let them get to me, so that I can focus on my other New Years resolutions.

Peoples judgmental attitudes can be a source of a load of pain. Perhaps not letting them get to you is the way forward because the judging will probably happen whether or not you want to stop it. I try to remind myself that a persons judgement only carries weight if they have a heaven and hell of their own that they can put me into.

Just to be a better person- but that's everyday. If there were no such thing as New Years Resolutions, I would still practice it every year and every day.

I am going to learn to play tennis this summer. We have excellent courts where I live, and it is something I've wanted to do for a while.

I'm assuming that you're going to do a mobile service to keep the cost of facilities out of the picture.

I had a buddy of mine 25 years ago that had a mobile service in So Cal that did very well. As long as you can find the right clients (more affluent) you just about can't go wrong. A lot of his business was in the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, etc so he made bank.

Yes, I'm going mobile. There's plenty of affluence around here actually, but it's nowhere near LA (thank God lol). I already have several vehicles lined up from people I know including 3 Porsches and one very large black BMW 7-series, but I'm still waiting for supplies from amazon. Can't wait to get started! :D

This year I want to work on accepting and honouring God's plan for the lives of other people. I had a rough year last year and it felt like every time I prayed about a situation, the exact opposite happened. I realise now that it wasn't my place to get impatient with God in his plan for others and I need to honour the incredible things he has up his sleeve.

The big thing for me for 2017 is to finish my PhD. I've been at it part-time, on and off for the last ten years and it's time for me to either get it done or walk away from it. I have a Statistics course this semester to fill out the last of my Program of Study, but beyond that, all I need to do is get my data collected, analyzed, and write it up in my dissertation...and then defend the dissertation next fall.

I want to get it done so I can say "I went as far in school as I could go". I want to get it done so I can purposely NOT use it as my own protest against the expectations of society. I want to be an extremely well educated underachiever...because it makes peoples' brains emit smoke when they find out how much education I have while I work a boring, menial job. LOL

Haha : p

Reach for the stars, yeah : p

And ummmm I have a few things Id like to do 2017.
I really want to lose weight, and change my eating habits. The losing weight wont be too hard, I have actually done it many many times : p I almost always gain weight in the winter and burn it off in the spring. Though Im still a bit chubby when I lose it, so id like to become so thin that instead of becoming fat during the winter, I just become a little chubby : p
Changing my eating habits will be hard though. I dont each much meat or anything, but I eat alot of bread and grains. Its the kind of food that makes you feel full through out the day, and I feel like anything I replace it with is gonna leave me feeling hungry often : / Am sorta worried about that.

I have many songs I have written that Id like to record (with my laptop mic as I dont have recording equipment : p). And many half written songs that Id like to finish. Ive practiced up singing while playing along to some of them but have become lazy about it. I keep saying Im gonna put them together and make an album with them but I keep slacking off on it. Id like to do it this year.

And Id also like to learn how to make videos this year. I was even thinking of looking into some video editing software. Might actually do that.

Also this past year Ive kinda avoided any irl social interaction, for various reasons. Id like to change that. I have a few people I could reach out to more in my town, I should push to make that normal everyday behavior. Am becoming a bit of a hermit lately : /

I've always eaten lots and lots of bread, and I didn't gain weight until I moved to Scotland (where I started eating a lot more dessert :p ) , so I don't think bread is a bad thing, unless you eat only the white bread with no nutrition in it

You think so? Ive been told both by multiple people that bread both doesnt really affect weight gain, and that the best way to lose weight is to not eat bread. Im not really sure which is true. I mean the times I lose alot of weight, I actually do drop bread, and that seems to work. But at the same time I usually drop other things too, like soda, snacks, and I even stop eating lunch everyday (which is hard to do : p) So it could be anyone of those, or all of them, that help me lose weight quickly.

And bleh, white bread, I never eat that no : p
