And I'm I talking about the ONE thing you'd really like to get done. If you look at your 2017 "to do list" which ONE thing really stands out?

Just to preclude some possible answers, I'm sure we all agree that a closer, more obedient walk with God and trusting Him more is by far more important than any other thing. However, for the purpose of this thread, lets assume that this is taken care of. Now what?

If I'm honest I feel like a holiday is way overdue. I haven't taken a real vacation in ages and it certainly feels like it. So I'd like to do everything else on the work front to gear myself for this so that at some point in 2017, I'll be able to take a decent break and wander off somewhere.

What about you guys?

Where are you planning to go?

I plan to be impulsive in 2017. I just said that because I don't have a plan. :D

To be honest I'm not sure yet. i have a friend in Athens whose invitation is still open, but I'm thinking that may need to wait. I'm kind of in a transition (new business) so I may stay local for this one. We have incredible holiday resorts here and right now a game lodge nestled somewhere in the Zambezi valley has loads of appeal.

Even if a plan is not on the horizon yet, isn't there one thing you'd at least like to accomplish or do?

What one thing... I want to make a soundtrack for "Where the Gold Begins." I have the chords and I'm gonna make it this coming year.

The two things I can think of right now:

1) Just say NO to carbs (and enjoy the healthierness that it brings)

2) There's a few writing projects I'm thinking about that I'd like to tackle

Will your writing projects include the word "healthierness" as part of the plot? :D

I'll see if I can work that in there somewhere, but I may have to go with something more traditional like better health to be acceptable to the masses.

I want to get a job. .... one where I feel I am being useful and appreciated and where I know I can stay permanently if I want to.
(So far that combination hasn't occurred :p )

Better health.

Eat less & more holistically healthy food. Exercise instead of vegging out. Spend time developing my relationships with other physical people instead of screens. Spend even half the time in scripture and prayer that I/we do on social media, movies, games, etc...

yolo changes with time.

When you're young:
"Another chicken leg?"
"Sure, why not? You only live once you know."

When you're older:
"Another chicken leg?"
"Eh, better not. You only live once you know."

(From Arlo and Janis comic strip.)

This is true, but here's the thing...

I tend to be closer to the latter example when I use that phrase. There is something to be said for not wasting your life, and thus taking some risks (the earlier usage of yolo). That shouldn't be an excuse for idiocy, however, but often is.
