I know this may sound controversial....but I am starting to observe that I am better off without relationships and women. ...most modern women don't want men anyways. Given my career as a med I am doomed to stay in that type of crowd...what do you think? ? What does Holy Scripture say? ? I see Jesus was not too happy when his disciples asked him about it....He said something like. ..some are eunuchs by birth some for the scripture our something. ..

I'm 38 and celibate. It's fairly easy to do. It's literally the default option.

A better scriptural citation would probably be 1 Corinthians 7:32-34.

Your only seventeen and your just giving up on relationships with women? did you expect to find love just like that? your incredibly young it's far to soon to just give up you know some people don't find love until their in their 50's some find it from a very young age but if you put God first then all other things will given to you

Not really. Nothing wrong with staying single.

How much experience do you have dealing with modern women at age 17?

Read the passage in Matthew 19. Paul also teaches that marriage is for some and celibacy for others in I Corinthians 7.

Pray about it. If you are content being celibate for life, then you can do that and devote more time to the Lord. If you have a desire to be married, you can do that.

You don't have to marry someone in your own field. I would imagine it would be better for the children down the line not to marry someone as busy as you are if you are in the field of medicine.

Just as long as you aren't actually leaning toward homosexuality, and trying to rationalize that with a claim of not wanting relationships with women.

Romantic relationships are not a requirement. They are not 'wrong' either. But Paul does discourage marriage except for those struggling with sexual desire. If you are content to stay single, then stick with it. If that changes further down the road, that's ok too.

Not celibate by choice.

But I am not married, so that's that. Probably good for me to be in this phase anyway. Maybe to much for to many years (when I was married, and unfortunately sometimes when I wasn't). If only I had a dime for every time...

I think a break is good for me.

Just remember that God is in control of all things. The Scriptures teach that the flesh and the Spirit are at conflict with
each other. Meaning!.. Our flesh seeks carnal things that are not of God. The Holy Spirit within us Seeks Heavenly
things that are of God.

When we are seeking, and putting much effort into seeking a relationship with the opposite sex. The chances are very high
that our motivation is to satisfy the flesh. This in turn can put us at a very high risk of doing things that are not pleasing to God.
Search your heart for your motivation of why you want a relationship. Are they for things of the Flesh? or Spirit?

You may find good reason For God to put a road block on a relationship for you. This opens a door for a relationship talking
with the Lord, Jesus Christ. Trusting, Believing, and Speaking with the Lord. Only good things can come of it. For only the Lord can bring us complete satisfaction.

GALATIANS 5:16 -5:22 is good reading for searching our heart if we are operating in the Flesh or Spirit.

You'd have less than $2,000. And truthfully, if you had gotten it over the course of your life you most likely wouldn't have saved much of it anyway. So look on the bright side, you haven't really lost anything.

Just take some time away to grow. Just live, grow up, don't worry about women for now. Concentrate on college, your job, whatever. Then one day, or in years to come you might meet someone.

Just don't worry about it for now. The right woman may or may not come in the future.

Well at least I can say I'm a master at being celibate!

All you beautiful women out there trying to seduce me are not going to win! I won't let you!! Never!!
